The way it works as this goes along is that certain skeptical, independent voices arise to object to some new phase in the control push. They win loyalty and something of an audience and then on the next turn they kind of promote the new thing that you would have thought they'd be dead against and soften their audience towards it. Covid skeptic becomes "Flock cameras do have some value" person. And indeed with Flock it's happening all over now. And boy is it obvious. Former free speecher becomes tentative Flocker etc. Just observe. Quite a game, quite a technique.
If you walked up to Mike Tyson in a bar and punched him in the face, I doubt ‘you can’t hit back because I’m so puny!’ would save you from consequences.
Same on X. If you want to punch me in public but don’t want to risk a brain injury in return, stick to your own weight class.
This is what's going on now as big Mister Reporter, for example, lets us know that that the Biden presidency (which he seemed to love at the time) was a puppet show run by insiders etc. Or when Cool Politician admits that "Woke 1," like a computer program, had a few small bugs.
As it turns out, most people don’t want solutions to their problems that require them to change anything they are doing now. They want a pill to take away the consequences. Big Pharma is our church.
People actively embrace the idea of imaginary enemies who are holding them down. That’s because targeting others with blame and resentment feels good, especially compared with the discomfort of active change.
Embracing change makes you stronger ; blame and resentment make you weaker. Ever wonder why politics on both the left and the right consists largely of the latter?
They want you to be weak so that they can take what you have and tell you what to do.
