"Fresh engineering graduates in #Pune, especially from computer science, are navigating one of the toughest employment environments in recent years, with delayed campus onboarding, shrinking entry-level hiring and a series of alleged job frauds adding to uncertainty."

You know the Padma awards are the absolute pinnacle of how this government is connected to the ground. If you want to understand why Modi can never be defeated - look at the Padma awardees. All deeply connected to their communities - each one deeply meaningful. ❤️
All the VCs, Agencies and Banks funding AI startups are buying the pitch that AI will create enormous wealth for some individuals, but ruin majority of the population by creating unemployment and inequality.
This pitch itself is so disturbing and problematic. The purpose of business and organisations should be to create value for people, uplift status of people and create a better world. AI wave is certainly not doing it.
When Ford created cars, or IBM built computers or Tesla built motors, their aim was to upgrade people and create a better world. AI ecosystem is going the reverse way.
@grok can you evaluate if the inference in the original post is correct or not? Have people lost half their retirement value in 15 years... due to the rupee depreciation by half during that period... assume they might have invested in PPF or Index funds? Have people lost half their purchasing power in India in the last 15 years, due to the rupee depreciation?
@anujg Thanks. I love economics texts that use simple analogies of daily life to demystify macro economics terms and relationships. Helps when I am working with professionals & leaders on ‘teaching’ strategic and business decision making.
Why is Western coverage of India the way it is?
Some of it is editorial bias. More of it is the fact that outrage about India sells in India.
But the biggest layer, the one Delhi still doesn't fight on, is something older and harder.
It is information warfare. 🧵

We usually picture leaders out in front.
But what if 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 leadership means staying in the background?
The 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 workshop conducted earlier this week at Gyan Studio had managers leaning in, and then stepping back, on purpose.
The session focused on critical shifts that truly matter in the uncertain times:
• changing your own leadership reflexes
• aligning teams to a common purpose (even through conflict)
• leveraging each other’s strengths instead of competing for space
Facilitated by Ravi Kant & Rajesh Srivastava, the session finally named what many do instinctively.
As Ravi Kant put it, “𝘞𝘦’𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘵.”
We thank our participants for joining us for this power-packed session.
