@linhrt_ I was surprised by reviews calling it “bromance” or “queerbaiting,” cause to me it’s romantic. Their bond is shown through constant care, shared life decisions & unwavering devotion. Romance doesn’t need NC scenes to feel real - the quiet intimacy & emotional commitment speaks
Just finished #Soulmate and anyone saying it’s “not a romance” watched it with their eyes and ears closed. Ryu and Johan may never explicitly call themselves boyfriends or lovers, nor are they overly physical, but love exists far beyond labels or spectacle
@FondBlGaymes I don’t think it’s devastatingly sad. It’s deeply emotional and filled with moments that ache in the most tender way, the kind that tugs at your heartstrings. The ending is bittersweet but I still cried, not purely out of sadness, but because of how profoundly moving it all felt
@BobaSocmed And honestly, I saw the ending as bittersweet rather than tragic. They stayed together until the very end and never stopped loving each other even with Johan’s illness, and I thought that was beautiful…
I fear only consuming overly sexualised queer media/BL and hyper-performative romance tropes have genuinely fried people’s understanding of intimacy and love…cause #Soulmate was a love story between two men. And I thoroughly loved it. Acting was 10/10
@BobaSocmed I think BL has done a lot for queer representation, but I disagree when people reduce romance to only physical affection or sex. Love can be shown through emotional intimacy, devotion, loyalty, and the way two people continuously choose each other.
It’s in the devotion, the quiet care, the unwavering way they choose each other always. There’s an invisible thread binding them, they’re each other’s safe space and person. Even the people around them recognise it without needing it spelled out🤍#Soulmate

There must be something about the Jenners…because how are these insanely talented men entering their orbit like it’s a gravitational pull, scientists need to study this phenomenon immediately
