#EthiopiaElections2026
The people of Ethiopia are an extraordinary and remarkable people. Other than the Creator, who can truly know and assess our people in their entirety? Through this year’s election, Ethiopians have once again shown the world that they are a people with a rich culture, deep patriotism, and the ability to safeguard the common good.
On this historic day:
* Citizens who were not intimidated by the cold and darkness of the night,
* Who were not deterred by the midday sun or sudden rain,
* Whom weddings, funerals, childbirth, and other social obligations did not prevent from participating,
* Who were not wearied by long lines,
* Whose physical disabilities did not stop them from casting their vote,
* Those whose illness and old age did not prevent from witnessing the hope of their country,
* Who were not exhausted by carrying their infant children; the future inheritors of the nation,
* And above all, whom the shouting and threats of enemies could not intimidate or stop;
The perseverance you demonstrated amid many challenges and hardships, against all odds, was a contribution made for democracy and for the very survival of the nation. For this, you deserve heartfelt gratitude.
It is a privilege to serve such a people. Therefore, may those who have been elected honor the trust placed in them and serve this people, with integrity and sincerity! A people who have paid a great price for the democratic system. May you be worthy of that responsibility.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum addresses Trump:
“So, you voted to build a wall…
Yes, Americans, even if you don’t understand geography very well—since for you America is not a continent but your country—it is important to know that before the first bricks are laid, there are 7 billion people on the other side of that wall.
But since you do not understand the term ‘people,’ we will call them ‘consumers.’
There are 7 billion consumers ready, in less than 42 hours, to replace their iPhones with Samsung or Huawei devices.
They can also replace Levi’s with Zara or Massimo Dutti.
In less than six months, we can easily stop buying Ford or Chevrolet vehicles and replace them with Toyota, KIA, Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Subaru, Renault, or BMW—vehicles that are technically better than those you produce.
These 7 billion people can also cancel their DirectTV subscriptions, and although we do not want to do this, we can stop watching Hollywood films and start watching higher-quality Latin American or European productions with real messages, cinema, and content.
It may sound unbelievable, but we can skip Disney and go to Xcaret Resort in Cancun, Mexico, Canada, or Europe.
There are other wonderful destinations in South America, East America, and Europe.
Believe it or not, even in Mexico there are burgers better than McDonald’s, with better nutritional content.
Has anyone seen pyramids in the United States?
There are pyramids with incredible cultures in Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Sudan, and other countries.
Learn where you can find the wonders of the ancient and modern world…
None of that exists in the United States…
Shame on Trump—he would buy and sell all of this!
We know that not only Nike exists, but Adidas as well, and we can start wearing Mexican sneakers like Panam.
We know more than you think.
For example, we know that if 7 billion consumers stop buying your products, there will be unemployment and economies will collapse—to the point that you will beg us to tear down that ugly (racist) wall.
We didn’t want this, but…
If you want a wall,
you will get a wall…
(It is said that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has no such statement, but whoever wrote it deserves applause.)
🇻🇪🇷🇸 History repeats itself as tragedy and farce.
In 2001, Slobodan Milosevic, the elected president of Yugoslavia, was overthrown in a Western-backed color revolution, arrested on trumped-up charges, and hauled before a kangaroo court at The Hague. He endured a sham trial for "war crimes," was denied proper medical care, and died in custody in 2006, vindicated posthumously when key accusations crumbled.
Fast forward to 2026: Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela's president, is kidnapped in a brazen US military raid, renditioned to New York like a common criminal, and set to face "narco-terrorism" and gun charges in a US federal court. Without a UN mandate or an extradition treaty, the events in Venezuela remind of us of the illegal interventions that toppled leaders from Noriega to Hussein.
Both men: demonized by the West, accused of atrocities to justify regime change. Milosevic fought NATO's bombing; Maduro called out Israeli and America terrorism.
If this is "justice," then the ICC should be next for those who ordered the strikes. Who's the real criminal empire here?
Best wishes for a 2026 with a personal message
Gratitude is a very empowering feeling.
Today, I feel privileged to have fulfilled way more than the wildest dreams of an Italian immigrant born in Switzerland and having lived most of my life in China.
I had a son 8 years ago that makes me want to go on for another 50 years if God gives me the strength.
A mission and purpose is empowering, filling the question "why" takes away all the obstacles, it has a spiritual dimension that every single action leading towards the mission is made light, easy to do...because it is not the mind but the heart and soul that lead.
Being able to answer the question WHY is a great objective, working on the found mission is the ultimate blessing.
Feels good to talk once in a while about something not related to Geopolitics because ultimately we are just spiritual beings having a human experience. But geopolitics might be also part of it coz it is also about doing the right thing for the collective good.
We can together keep on trying to make the world a better place with the limited power and time allocated to our life spam. The fight is critical for our next generations, we shall be relentless in our mission.
Thanks to you all for sharing your stories, for your comments l, for your support, for debating, for contributing to elevating our collective consciousness.
Angelo is a brave journalist. What we all missed for the last two decades was the so-called journalism .Angelo, you are one of the best journalists of my time .thank you so much
The Rise of the Global Majority
The old world is dying.
For decades, a handful of Western capitals believed they alone could write the rules, judge every culture, and command the future of humanity.
That arrogant era is over.
Today, the Global Majority awakens.
Billions of voices across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East — the true heart of our planet — are rising, calm, unstoppable, and rightful.
At the forefront stand two ancient civilizations: China and Russia.
Their partnership is not domination.
It is trust.
It is respect.
It is proof that great nations can rise together without crushing others.
Russia’s energy now flows east — to reliable friends, not fickle masters.
China and BRICS build food security through cooperation, not coercion.
They forge money systems free from weaponized dollars.
They open new roads — Belt and Road, Arctic passages — that no navy can choke.
They create technology that bows to no gatekeeper.
And the West?
It panics.
It builds emergency terminals.
It revives coal.
It threatens, sanctions, freezes assets, screams “danger!” at every new bridge and port.
But the more it lashes out, the weaker it appears.
The louder it threatens, the clearer the truth becomes.
This is not revenge.
This is freedom.
This is the end of one group’s exclusive claim over all others.
In 2026, multipolarity will no longer be a promise.
It will be reality.
Fairer.
Stronger.
More beautiful.
The Global Majority has arrived.
China and Russia have shown the way.
The future is here.
And nothing — nothing — can stop it now.

Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso are taking a bold step toward unity. The three Sahel nations have signed a confederation treaty to remove borders and move toward becoming one country.
This historic move reflects a shared vision of sovereignty, solidarity, and regional strength. With plans to coordinate defense, diplomacy, and trade, the alliance marks a new chapter in West African integration one driven by the people and shaped by the region’s own priorities.
Lupita Nyong’o pulls back the curtain on the type of roles she was offered following her Oscar win:
“After I won the Academy Award, you’d think, ‘I’m gonna get lead roles here and there.’ [They’re like], ‘Oh, Lupita, we’d like you to play another movie where you’re a slave but this time you’re on a slave ship.’ Those are the kind of offers I was getting in the months after winning my Academy Award. There were think pieces of ‘Is this the beginning and end of this dark-skinned black African woman’s career?’ I had to deafen myself to all these pontificators because, at the end of the day, I’m not a theory— I’m an actual person. I’d like to be a joyful warrior for changing the paradigms of what it means to be African and if that means I work one job less a year to ensure that I’m not perpetuating the stereotypes that are expected of people from my continent, then let me do that.”
When the West ruled, they called it "order."
When Asia rises, they call it "threat."
When Europe plundered, it was "discovery."
When Africans demand their gold back, it's "destabilizing."
The difference isn't in the act.
It's in the hand that holds the pen.
And the fear in the eye that sees its own shadow coming home.
Asia must unite.
Africa must unite.
Latin America must unite.
The Global South must unite.
And the colonized peoples of the West must remember.
We were divided by treaties, maps, and mythologies.
Our names were split, our borders drawn in foreign ink, our languages called obstacles.
They made us forget each other.
They taught us to look to London, Paris, Washington for permission to breathe.
But now, we remember who wrote the treaties.
We remember whose hands carved the borders.
We remember who profited from our forgetting.
United, we are the majority of this earth.
United, we are the heartbeat of history.
United, we are the apocalypse of empire.
