Earlier today, the Supreme Court granted a coalition of fourteen civil society organizations, including CDD-Ghana, leave to intervene as Amici Curiae in the ongoing case concerning aspects of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (@ospghana) Act.
The coalition’s intervention seeks to support the Court with public interest perspectives, institutional memory, and comparative insights relevant to Ghana’s fight against corruption.

From April 28–29, 2026, CDD-Ghana’s International Desk will convene 40+ editors, senior journalists, and media practitioners from across West Africa in Accra, Ghana for a capacity-building workshop.
The workshop will focus on strengthening the media's understanding and reporting on geopolitical shifts, foreign influence geopolitical shifts, foreign influence, disinformation, and democratic governance in the region.

The Center has commenced regional engagements on the Office of the Special Prosecutor (@ospghana), building on insights from the recent National Dialogue and ongoing efforts to strengthen accountability and anti-corruption reforms in Ghana.
The engagements will occur in Tamale, Bolgatanga, Wa, Koforidua, Ho, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Ada, Sunyani, and Kumasi from April 21–30, 2026. The sessions will deepen public understanding of the OSP’s mandate, gather regional perspectives, and support the validation of findings from CDD-Ghana’s 8-year assessment of the OSP.
The dialogues are being organized with support from the Participation, Accountability, and Integrity for a Resilient Democracy (PAIReD) program, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-financed by the European Union (@EuropeInGhana) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and implemented by @giz_gmbh in partnership with the Ministry of Finance.
