Sports in Kansas 2025 2A Girls 🏀 Coach of the Year: Kaleigh Huxman of Moundridge
Huxman led the Moundridge team to a state title this season in 2A as they defeated Doniphan West, 62-51, in Manhattan. The most impressive thing? Zero seniors on the team so look for a bright future for the coach that has went 66-26 at the school. Huxman graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in Edmond, Oklahoma and is an alum of Tabor College. Wildcats finished 24-2 on the season. “I am really proud of this group for how much they grew in their mental toughness over the course of this season. In Manhattan we challenged them to Let Faith Dictate. When fear or doubt crept in, let faith dictate instead. They did exactly that, and attacked each game like it was just the next assignment.” Huxman told Chet Kuplen of Sports in Kansas earlier this week. #sportsinkansas
