Tonali’s great but I wouldn’t say he is an urgent need, especially not for the $100mil being quoted.

@simonyemane I can see why he wants to leave. We are after 2 new signings who play in his position and he has Gallagher, PMS and Gray ahead of him (based on the last few games of last season). Perhaps a sale with a buy back clause will be best for all parties.

@mbkdabdali @RudolphN17 I agree on Solanke. RDZ will likely use him like he used Wellbeck at Brighton. But we really need players who can actually score and create chances. That’s been our struggle over the last 2 seasons.

@GaryRWard I would be more inclined to the signing but he didn’t exactly excel at Newcastle. No doubt the system played a part, but for the price that Newcastle is quoting us, wouldn’t Wharton make more sense as that fluid 6/8?

@GaryRWard Agreed that another loan will be beneficial for his development. Same as what happened with Kane and (ahems) Saliba. And if he develops as we hope he does, he’ll come back and challenge Van Hecke ahead of Danso.

Selling him simply sends the wrong signal to all young players.
