Iran FM: U.S. Bases Are There To PROTECT ISRAEL Not GCC Nations Hosting Them
Dr. Abbas Araghchi: "They realized these bases were built for Israel's security, not theirs. They protect Israel, NOT them."
He said the war shattered regional security doctrines built around dependence on the U.S., pointing out that countries WITHOUT American bases remained safer.
"Wherever an American base is, in our view, during a time of war by America against Iran, it is a legitimate target."
On this occasion, I extend my congratulations and appreciation to all the diligent employees and managers of the government, and especially to the sincere and caring President of the 14th Administration.
Important points emphasised by Iran’s Leader, Imam Mojtaba Khamenei:
1. Economic pressure needs serious attention: inflation, unemployment, prices, investment, production, and living standards should be central priorities.
2. Reduce dependence on dollar.
3. New technology & young talent needs to be used more intensively: The gov should adopt innovations proposed by young experts and be willing to abandon outdated routines.
4. Government needs to preserve national and social unity. Economic, political, cultural, security, and social fields should be evaluated according to whether they strengthen or damage social cohesion.
5. No bad rhetorics. Such as “war or negotiations,” “consensus or extremism,” and “compromise or warmongering”.
6. Socially important professions and families should be supported, such as teachers & educators.
7. Iran’s development should come primarily from internal capacity, better governance, technology, production, and public participation, not from accepting foreign demands.
Shocking and sad news of the death of the Chairman of the National Population Commission @natpopcom (NPC), Dr Aminu Yusuf Wushishi, the Talban Wushishi.
This is a very painful loss to the Commission, the public service, and the entire nation.
The deceased was a close associate of mine and a committed public servant whose dedication to national development was evident in his brief tenure at the NPC.
His detailed planning, and commitment to delivering a credible and technology-driven census showed his deep sense of responsibility and his determination to leave a lasting contribution to Nigeria’s development.
My condolences go to the Government and people of Niger State, to all the people of Wushishi, and to his family, colleagues, friends, and the staff of the NPC.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort all those mourning his passing.
Equally vital is giving special attention to economic growth, boosting production, gradually phasing out the US #dollar from playing a pivotal role, and ultimately, making Resistance Economy the central focus – all of which are among the goals of the service-oriented government.
The pursuit of peace must begin with justice and in that sense, he’s made sure to be just to everyone.
He has also avoided the temptation of concentrating development in the city centre. By taking development across the state, Uba Sani is in essence reflecting the essence of government to the people; that it is theirs as much as it is that of those in the city centre.
He sees people. Uba Sani acknowledges people even though you as a regular person may not consider important. He sees people and seeks them out. It’s hard to win against that.

Honored to have been received so warmly in the beautiful home of my friend, brother and neighbour, His Excellency Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja,
the Ambassador of the Islamic State of Iran to Nigeria, in Abuja.
We had a wonderful lunch which consisted of the most delicious and exotic Iranian dishes and a fruitful and productive meeting in which we discussed bilateral relations, regional issues and world affairs.
I was humbled and delighted at the brilliance, insight and warmth of His Excellency and I look forward to greater interaction with him, his counterpart in South Africa and other Iranian friends and diplomats in the future.

Fatih Tekke

Nicolas Jackson has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Aston Villa.
We thank Nico for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him well for the future.
Six months ago, the US and Israel launched their war on Iran, assassinating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and hitting nuclear and military sites.
We track the first six months of the war, from the dead and displaced to the effect on the global economy https://t.co/3iDnOPX8cO

I agree South-south is the most disparate region.
- Cross River & Akwa Ibom are similar but different from others
- Rivers & Bayelsa
- Edo & Delta.
Interestingly, each of the three categories above used to be one state. Old Cross River, old Rivers and Bendel.
I think only SE and SW are close to being culturally homogenous.
NE is also as disparate as SS. Taraba practically has nothing in common with Borno or Yobe.
NC too.
