The value of money depends on where you stand in life.
To some, ₦50,000 is just enough for airtime and data. To others, it’s the capital they need to start a small business.
To some, ₦1 million is weekend enjoyment; to others, it’s a life-changing opportunity.
That’s why when you hear that ₦50,000 grants were given to 50 people, your reaction may depend on your perspective.
If ₦50,000 seems insignificant to you, you may dismiss it. But for someone struggling to raise startup capital, it can be the beginning of financial independence.
Every successful business starts small. Many thriving entrepreneurs began with roadside businesses selling akara, puff-puff, or other everyday products. Honest work, no matter how modest it appears, can build wealth over time.
This is why some people have defended Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu’s comments about empowering women through small-scale businesses like frying akara or producing kulikuli. While others criticize the idea, many beneficiaries appreciate the opportunity because it provides a practical source of income.
Not every empowerment initiative has to fund a telecom company. Sometimes, meaningful change starts with helping people build sustainable livelihoods from where they are.
Never underestimate small beginnings, and don’t judge people’s success by their appearance. Some people in simple clothes and humble businesses own homes and live comfortably. Perspective matters.

Mumu once, mumu always.
The goal should be to wipe out all bandit networks, not just those linked to one particular victim. Every Nigerian life matters.
In direct response to the abduction and death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, the Defence Headquarters Joint Task Force North West has commenced a fresh major offensive named Operation Clean Sweep III across Matazu Local Government Area and neighbouring communities in Katsina State. The operation, which kicked off on Sunday, June 14, 2026, aims to hunt down and eliminate the bandits responsible for the retired general’s kidnap and subsequent death in captivity, while dismantling their operational networks in the region.
In a statement issued on Monday by Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, Media Information Officer of the JTF North West under Operation Fansan Yamma, troops have already carried out intensive fighting patrols, intelligence-driven raids, cordon-and-search operations, and clearance exercises in identified criminal hideouts.

@ishaqsamaila5 Even cattle rearers wandering around houses and streets doesn’t make any sense. Go to developed countries and see if they still do things the way we do here. What the late Buhari did makes no sense at all.
Seeing this now, give me joy at least for the day.
Another Captured terr0rist supplier seen being “critically appraised” by Nigerian forces by his terrific contributions to the spread of terrorism in Northern Nigeria.
