In 2014 Nigeria recorded it's first school mass kidnap in Chibok with over 275 girls captured by Boko Haram.

It took years before President Buhari rescued more than half of the girls.

That incident made Boko Haram a household name globally.

Since any time these criminals want to advertise their activities and show they are still strong they kidnap kids from schools...

2021 was their most daring year with over 7 major mass kidnaps of school kids, Kaduna severally, Kebbi, Zamfara and Katsina.

for 3 years their activities died down...

In 2024 there was one major mass kidnap of kids..

In 2025 there were two

in 2026 - two.

In between these school kidnaps hundreds of locals are kidnap enmass with ransom collected or civilians used as shield against Airstrikes....

many of the locals kidnap are unreported but the security agents have rescued thousands and killed hundreds of terrorists

Since 2021, the Nigeria govt has done creditably well to minimize school kidnaps.

I have heard many theories on how to rescue the kidnap kids in Oyo there is no easy way out

Crying on social media is not one of the solutions

Paying ransom frees the kids, but it puts more children across Nigeria in danger as the criminals strategize on where to strike next.

Nigeria is a massive country, security men can't be everywhere Nigeria doesn't have money to deploy technology everywhere.

If they were my kids, I would prefer Ransom to be paid by me and not the state ( same for all parents) if the state does it, then they have permanently placed these terrorists on govt payroll.... as they keep working across Nigeria

If the govt sends special forces to rescue them, it would result in casualties that no parents on Earth will wish their ward

The other options are intelligence driven rescue, Siege, surrender of terrorists, or given a safe corridor to flee and leave the kids behind

The last measures take time, I believe the govt has adopted the long game tactics, the good news is the terrorists and kids location are known, so there is no fear of the chibok girls episode.

The long game adopted by the govt is the best method for all Nigerians except parents of the kids

for those subtly doing PR work for the terrorists online including senator Natasha, sharing horrible pictures of kids in Niger to weep up sentiment across Nigeria in support of these terrorists.

They are enemies of Nigeria...

At a time like these our security agents deserve all the support..... Nigeria is not alone.... these monsters have been largely contained since 2021..... they will be defeated and it won't happen overnight...

For the likes of senator Natasha.... they are the reason why the Urhobos say..
