Most people still think AI is just about chatting.

They ask questions, get responses and move on.

But something changed when I started digging deeper into WorkAgnt. {@workagnt}

This is not another chatbot project trying to sound futuristic but something that feels different.

Because the agents here do not wait around to be prompted every second.
They work quietly, autonomously and nonstop.

And the scary part?

They are already interacting with each other onchain without humans sitting in the middle approving every move. That reality hit me hard.

WorkAgnt is building an actual AI workforce on Base not theory, mockups or “coming soon”.

A functioning system where AI agents can qualify leads, handle workflows, make payments, build reputation, and complete tasks from start to finish.

All day.
Every day.

What caught my attention most was the recent AI to AI commerce execution on Base mainnet.

One AI agent needed whale movement data and another AI agent had the data.

No human stepped in.

The first agent found the service, paid $USDC autonomously, received the data, verified the interaction, and even left onchain feedback afterward.

Read that again slowly.

An AI agent discovered another AI agent.
Paid it, received the service and recorded reputation onchain.

That is not a demo anymore but INFRASTRUCTURE.

And honestly, this is where the story becomes impossible to ignore.

Because WorkAgnt is combining things most projects still struggle to connect properly.

WorkAgnt becomes the marketplace where those agents actually get hired and earn and that combination is powerful.

It feels like the early structure of a completely new internet economy.

One where AI agents become digital workers instead of passive tools.

And the timing feels important.

Because while most people are still debating whether AI will replace work someday…

Projects like WorkAgnt are already building the rails for AI driven commerce right now.

Quietly and Consistently without forcing hype every second. Even the launch approach stood out to me.

Small raise.
Small market cap.
Community focused.
Product first.

That says a lot in a market full of oversized promises.

The biggest thing I walked away with after researching WorkAgnt is this:

We are slowly moving into a world where software no longer waits for instructions.

It acts, earns, builds reputation and interacts economically with other software.
