@channelstv Jean Kaseya is the Congolese head of Africa CDC who always talks about Uganda like it is the epicenter of the outbreak instead of his home country
Lukwago was rushed to Mulago in a dire state on Monday. Meanwhile, Museveni's Son tweeted this last night: "I'm not bothered about Lukwago's illness. He looks healthy enough to be hanged."
African leaders get away with dehumanising Africans in barbaric ways, man! These guys wouldn't keep slaves: they'd torture each of them to death for pleasure!
Meanwhile, the magistrate in Lukwago's case continues to deny him bail. She asked for a report from Mulago about his health claims. Seven specialists - the best in the land - examined Lukwago and issued a dire report that he needs urgent medical treatment abroad, where he was getting it until his arrest in June this year.
Armed with the report, the magistrate decided she needs another report from Uganda Prisons that they - the prison's hospital, that is - can't handle Lukwago's condition as a prerequisite for giving him bail. The prisons said they can handle the sicknesses that Specialists from the National Referral Hospital said they cannot handle! Recently, Lukwago was rushed out of prisons to receive treatment at a private facility in Lubowa, it failed and he is now at Mulago!
The last time a pingpong like this, with prisons insisting they could treat someone as specialists called for bail and immediate advanced treatment played out was in 2007. In that particularly case, the Ugandan involved, Joseph Musasizi Kifefe, young brother to Dr Kizza Besigye, died in the end. The autopsy report, like all autopsy reports, didn't capture the bid of him being denied bail until he was too sick to be saved; it simply said Musasizi, known as Saasi, died of "Kidney failure"!
Guys, what is this thing we, "the God-fearing country", are building for ourselves? When this building is done, what do we want to see, exactly?!
Hon. @AdekeAnna (Soroti District) has, on behalf of the shadow minister of health, urged government to prioritise issues of health through better financing and planning because “all of us can be victims of a poor health system.”

🇺🇬 Soroti District Woman MP @AdekeAnna told Parliament that Uganda spends 7.7% of its budget on health, against the 15% it committed to under the Abuja Declaration.
Speaking during debate on the health sector performance statement on 20 October 2026, she urged Government to unlock the wage bill for the poorest-performing districts. She also asked it to equip Health Centre IV theatres that remain non-functional for lack of electricity, anaesthesia and blood banks.

The Judiciary @JudiciaryUG in Uganda 🇺🇬 is complicit in the torture and violation of People’s Human Rights, - Otherwise how does one explain judge’s preference of other cases over Habeas Corpus and or bail applications for various abducted and disappeared persons in Uganda (and where it is no longer a secret) they are experiencing untold suffering in various torture chambers now infamously known as ‘basements’ 😢
How is Erias Lukwago doing? Is he healthy & safe? How is Obed Lutale? Does he get moments to say hello to his family? How is Dr Kizza Besigye? Is he still in intensive care? How is Sam Mugumya? Does his mum know where/how he is? 😔
