SOME LAGOS CHILD HAWKERS NEEDS TO BE KNOCKED HARD ON THE HEAD -
at first I didn’t want to share this on my Lagos experience series that I am doing, but I saw a lady say something similar on the set I am currently so I decided to share. About a week ago I was coming from Yaba…
Then all of a sudden she threw the chewing gum on me and left, I was so pissed that I wanted to throw the gum out back but I sha calm down, few minutes later she came back saying “wey my chewing gum?, so you no go buy? Na so e be for you” Omo my Omo was Omoed.
From trying to sell me chewing gum, she started begging me to buy, this begging no small o😅, infact she switched to prayer and deep down I already wanted to just buy and chew it later cos that prayer go far for 300 Naira chewing gum.
After around 3 hours of stage play rehearsals. I was in Abule Egba bus, stuck in traffic around Iyana Ipaja, then a young girl came close to the window of the bus I was, she was selling chewing gum. She asked me to buy and seriously I had no intention of munching or chewing …
saying “shey Owo to fun e wa to eyi to ri” meaning did the money he gave you is up to the one you saw? . Hmmmm in conclusion - NOT ALL THUGS IN LAGOS ARE DANGEROUS AT NIGHT. I will share another experience I feel you should know later 🥱. That if I have one 😂
NOT ALL THUGS IN LAGOS ARE DANGEROUS AT NIGHT-
so few days ago I went to a comedy show with a friend which ended a bit late. Before leaving there I stylishly checked bolt price that night and compared it to what I had in my account, (i laugh in unknown tongues) 😂😂😂
He said my money fell from my pocket why buying stuffs, and asked me to tip him which I gladly did. I left happy because I knew if I had lost that money na under Obalende bridge I go sleep 😂. While leaving I heard other thugs insulting the guy that brought the cash back -
When I saw him turn back I checked my pocket properly then saw all the money in my pocket missing. I had to quickly call him back using a street oriented borrowed voice: “Idan, omo oro wa, how far.” Iyen emi na 😂😂
He said my money fell from my pocket, I didn’t believe cos I still felt something in my pocket not knowing it’s my handkerchief. Then some older thugs started swearing for the one that came to me. That why would he return that kind of money. Meanwhile I still Dey waka go front 😂
few seconds after I left where I brought garden egg. Some area boys were shouting : hey, omo oro, alaye. And what came to my mind was don’t look back these guys fit wan run you street o. Then I saw one run towards me shouting Egbon egbon…
so I used a nearby POS withdrew all the cash left in my account 😭, and we commuted to Obalende. It was around past 11 / to 12. I was hungry didn’t see any snack seller so I brought out 500 to buy garden egg. During this period I and my friend were walking as fast as possible…
a part of me wanted to tell my friend “Omo we go share bolt fee o” , then I remembered a conversation I had with some friends few weeks ago before, about how prices increases during the journey, although I have personally not experienced it before.
So I have decided to be sharing my Lagos experiences, the ones I think you should know by the way😉. Cos what? I have had some funny, hilarious, romantic experiences I can’t keep to myself 😂😂
