This morning, a woman was rushed to the hospital in a critical emergency right behind the house where I live. She needed urgent treatment immediately. I overheard the nurse urgently saying, "Please turn on the generator! 🥲They tried to start it, but the generator kept turning off and struggled for about five minutes. I was shocked, how can a big hospital have such issues?
Sadly, this woman passed away
she gave up the ghost. This is heartbreaking.😰🤕
Hospitals really need to do better. Yes, we know the government has failed us with constant power outages, but private or public, every hospital should ensure reliable electricity 24/7 whether through a strong generator, inverter system, or fuel backup. Lives are depending on it. No one should die because of something as basic as power failure.
Rest In Peace to that woman…. I’m so sorry this happened to you🥲🕊

Today, I am honoured to join distinguished Nigerians in celebrating a statesman and elder of our nation, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, GCFR, on the occasion of his 84th birthday and the public presentation of books documenting his remarkable life, service, and contributions to Nigeria and Africa.
General Abdulsalami occupies a unique place in our national history. At a critical moment in Nigeria's journey, he demonstrated uncommon courage, patriotism, and selflessness by guiding our nation through a peaceful transition to democratic governance. His actions helped lay the foundation for the democratic dispensation that Nigeria continues to build upon today.
As we celebrate General Abdulsalami today, we are reminded that true leadership is measured not by the accumulation of power, but by the positive impact one leaves on people and institutions. His life continues to demonstrate that service to the nation must always be guided by responsibility and a commitment to the common good.
May Almighty God continue to grant him good health, wisdom, and strength to keep serving humanity and our nation.
Thank you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

There is No Reason to Detain Nnamdi Kanu. He Did Nothing Wrong — Peter Obi
Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reiterated his opposition to the continued detention of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu, insisting that no one should be arrested simply for expressing their views.
Speaking in Washington, Obi said he sees no justification for Kanu’s detention and urged authorities to embrace dialogue rather than repression when dealing with agitators.
“I have said this repeatedly, there is no reason for detaining Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. You cannot arrest somebody just because the person is speaking on radio,” Obi stated.
Drawing from his own experience in politics, the former Anambra State governor argued that criticism and name-calling are not criminal offences.
“I am a politician, people have been calling me names, it’s not an offence,” he said.
Obi extended his position to all separatist and political agitators across the country, saying engagement remains the most effective way to address grievances and preserve national unity.
“Even all agitators; if I was in government today, I will discuss with them and engage with them, I will consult them. Because I believe if they have a reason for whatever they want to do, it’s only by engaging them we will learn and see how we can resolve this,” he added.
The former presidential candidate, however, acknowledged that he currently holds no government office and therefore lacks the authority to act on such proposals.
“But I am not in position to do anything today,” Obi said.
Yesterday, I had the honour of hosting my brother and partner, His Excellency Peter Obi, at my residence in Abuja.
I warmly welcomed him back from his highly productive international trip, and we engaged in frank and productive discussions on key partisan and national issues.
Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), remains united. As leaders, we must continue to demonstrate maturity by making the necessary sacrifices and tolerating our differences in pursuit of our shared goal.
We are resolute in this mission, and together, we shall ensure that Nigeria is OK. - RMK
