As it comes to the end of the film, all I can think about is how from the beginning to the end, such a huge percentage of the people within the footage are dead, and not just those specifically named and listed, just the faces of those in the background #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex

"It was happening to a convenient population... it was gay people who were just getting what they deserve" -tragic, and it really reminds me of Matthew Shepard and how the media only paid attention to him because he looked like an ideal martyr #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex

@silviagosalvezc I def agree, I loved how they highlighted the different groups that joined together and the intersectionality, but also the recognition that many of the protesters were white, privileged, entitled people that used this privilege and anger to enact change #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex

Seeing the Catholic Church react to the Act Up protest within the church and outside it really reinforced the idea to me that our society truly is based on Christianity whether we want to admit it or not, and how this infiltrates healthcare and our lives #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex

As I'm in the middle of watching this I'm struck by the sense of community, family, and purpose these people found within Act Up and the Affinity groups. While a horrible thing, the unity that came together is beautiful #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex

My question to our class is that considering in recent years we have seen numerous examples of large, mass protests, such in the George Floyd protest and the Ukrainian invasion, do you find that public protesting has a different impact now vs the 80's? #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex

As I'm watching this, it makes me so angry to think about how the research had been done and the medicine had been created but people weren't able to take it because of how greedy and money hungry humans can be #UnitedInAnger #NURelSex
