🎉 NEW PUBLICATION ALERT!
From a non-technical background to publishing cybersecurity research in a leading international journal — this milestone represents two years of learning, persistence, late nights, and continuous improvement.
I’m delighted to share that our paper, “RiskOnto: An Ontology-Driven Framework for Threat Modeling, Risk Reasoning and Cyber Defense Knowledge Integration,” is now available online in Computers & Security (A Q1 journal with 6.8 impact factor), published by Elsevier.
📖 Read the published paper:

The same week, our related research was also presented at RSTCON 2026, exploring cross-framework semantic cybersecurity reasoning for explainable risk intelligence through a WebGoat validation study.

RiskOnto explores how cybersecurity knowledge from different frameworks can be connected in a structured, traceable way to support more explainable and evidence-based risk reasoning.
My sincere gratitude to my supervisors, Professor Luigi Benedicenti and Professor Yasser Morgan thank you for your guidance, support, and continued investment in my development as a researcher. To UNB Faculty of Computer Science - Fredericton and University of New Brunswick, for providing a research environment in which I can learn, grow, and pursue this work.
To Prof. V. Charles, PhD, PDRF, FRSS, FBCS, SFHEA, FPPBA, thank you for believing in me and for your encouragement. Your support has meant a great deal throughout this journey.
To my wife Omotayo Adelere thank you for the patience, encouragement, understanding, and moral support through the late nights, demanding deadlines, and difficult moments. Behind every milestone is a personal journey, and I am deeply grateful that you have been part of mine. Lastly, to everyone who has offered advice, challenged my ideas, reviewed my work, or encouraged me along the way: thank you.
This is more than a publication for me. It is a reminder that unfamiliar beginnings do not have to limit what we can learn, build, or contribute. There is still much to validate and improve, and I look forward to the next chapter. 🚀

Operation Blackout is taking the fight directly to the international cybercriminal networks stealing billions from Americans.
Our latest operation in Nigeria delivered:
9 ARRESTS.
53 electronic devices seized.
$11 MILLION in potentially freezable funds identified across multiple countries.
These scam centers exploit innocent victims, steal life savings, and operate across international borders believing they are beyond the reach of law enforcement.
They’re wrong.
Thanks to Nigerian law enforcement and our partners in London for their outstanding cooperation.
To the criminals targeting Americans from overseas: JUSTICE WILL FIND YOU.
Nigerians Must Not Be Abandoned to Disaster Risks
As the global community observes the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction today, we must acknowledge that millions of Nigerians confront not only natural hazards but also avoidable crises resulting from governance failures.
Throughout the country, citizens face flooding, insecurity, displacement, hunger, malnutrition, deteriorating infrastructure, increasing poverty, and the loss of livelihoods. Inadequate planning, fragile institutions, insufficient emergency preparedness, and the failure to place citizens’ welfare first have made everyday existence a disaster for many people.
Although disasters cannot always be prevented, their effects can be limited through accountable leadership, early warning mechanisms, responsible land-use planning, durable infrastructure, efficient emergency services, and prompt humanitarian assistance. When governments fail to identify risks in advance or respond effectively to emergencies, the most vulnerable citizens bear the greatest burden.
The success of governance should be judged not by revenue totals, economic indicators, or official ceremonies but by the people’s safety, dignity, and quality of life. No government can credibly claim progress while citizens are displaced by floods, abducted by criminals, forced into hunger, or left without protection from predictable threats.
I urge governments at every level to pursue a people-focused approach to reducing disaster risks by investing in prevention, enhancing emergency response, ensuring accountability in the administration of disaster funds, and delivering prompt relief and lasting rehabilitation to affected communities.
Nigeria must not accept avoidable suffering as normal. Protecting the safety, security, and welfare of our people is a core responsibility of government. We must create a nation in which sound governance limits risks, safeguards lives, and affords every citizen a fair opportunity to live in safety and dignity.
Nigerians thoroughly insulated from the most severe effects of disasters is OK and POssible. -PO

PRESS STATEMENT
APC AND TINUBU'S 30-DAY PETROL DISCOUNT IS TOKENISM AND DECEIT
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has noted the breaking news by the Federal Government announcing a 30-day discount on petrol through NNPC stations.
According to the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, _"We are offering a discount on petrol dispensed by NNPC Limited for the next 30 days in the first instance, with priority for public transporters nationwide. So, it's not a subsidy. The government is just saying we sell to you at cost."
This is nothing but tokenism and a Greek gift from a government that whimsically removed fuel subsidy without proper consideration, consultation, or cushions for Nigerians.
Nigerians cannot be deceived.
What happens to the millions of Nigerians who lost their jobs and whose businesses collapsed as a result of the callous and poorly planned removal of subsidy? What about those who lost their lives in poorly equipped government hospitals that have now become mortuaries?
It is clear that President Bola Tinubu and the APC government are desperate, and Nigerians must not be deceived. Emilokanomics has failed woefully.
The attempt to reintroduce petrol subsidy through the backdoor is not only mischievous but a sign of a government in free fall, ready to clutch at anything to survive.
Even the bogus promise to dispense discounted fuel at designated NNPC retail outlets is not pragmatic. How many such outlets exist in Nigeria to serve over 200 million Nigerians?
Is this not the recipe for another stampede that could have many more Nigerians trampled to death at the filling stations?
Several questions beg for answers, but the only answer staring Nigerians in the face is that the economy is in a tailspin and at a tipping point. The APC has shown itself glaringly incapable of rescuing the country from imminent collapse.
But hope is on the way.
His Excellency Peter Obi, under the NDC, will put Nigeria back on the right track. A New Nigeria is POssible with Obi.
In a few months, specifically on 16th January, 2027, Nigerians should come out en masse and vote for Peter Obi and all other NDC candidates to vote out the most clueless and rudderless government in the history of Nigeria.
