“I Just Want To Remind Nigerians Who Are Campaigning For Tinubu What This Same Tinubu Did On His First Day In Office, In Case They’ve Forgotten.”~ Lady Reacts
When I first created this piece, I honestly wasn’t sure I could even do it. I saw something like it on Pinterest and I loved it, but when I started thinking of the waste materials I could use to recreate it, fear entered. I didn’t want to use carton at first because I felt it wouldn’t give me the kind of details I needed.
So I left the idea. I kept thinking about it for like four months. Four months of imagining it in my head, i kept doubting myself, and still wanting to try. At some point I just told myself, “Esther, try it first. If it works, fine. If it doesn’t, at least you tried.”
And truly, the moment I started, the whole thing began to make sense. The same carton I was scared of actually gave me exactly what I wanted. Looking at the piece now, I’m happy I didn’t allow fear to stop me.
Sometimes, we really limit ourselves for nothing. We’re scared we can’t do it… scared we might fail… scared it might not work. But honestly, failure is part of the process. Mistakes are normal. The important thing is to try first.
Just try. You never can tell where it will lead you.
In that process, whether you win or fail, you will learn a lot. You will see things people don’t see. You might even create something new, something different, something nobody has done before.
So if there’s something on your mind, something you’ve been wanting to start… please try. You owe yourself that chance.
