In the era I grew up, we used to know the mad people in our area by name. People converse with them. There was one Emily in Ikorodu. Very popular mad woman around Agric always holding red, blue and black pen in the 2000s.
There was one in Bariga always singing “patewo re o koro re le dayo” in the 90s.
People used to watch out for them. You will hear things like “I have not seen Emily this week, I hope she’s okay”. For someone living with insanity o.

Igbo men need to lead their wives(and women generally)better.
Everything is not just about money.
Lead the woman you call wife.
98% of any househelp abuse story that comes on the internet is perpetrated by an igbo woman.
It does not look good on us at all.
Alhamdulillah!
The wedding events of my union, which has expanded our family under our beautiful Nupe customs and Islamic traditions, have just concluded successfully in Kwara. The celebrations spanned three towns, Lafiagi, Tsaragi, and Ilorin; from the colourful Tsakan/Nupe traditional day, through the Nikkah, and ended with the reception. It was a beautiful gathering filled with love, rich cultural celebration, prayers, and the heartfelt warmth of family and friends.
To my Uwarigida, thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation, especially through the nay-sayings and challenges. Your strength and grace continue to inspire and steady our home.
To our beloved parents, siblings, extended family, friends, supporters, and well-wishers, we sincerely thank you for your sacrifices, guidance, and unwavering support. If I have my way, I would have mentioned everybody’s name. You all stood by us and held us up in ways words cannot fully capture.
Special appreciation also goes to our mentors, friends, colleagues, and the wonderful community that showed up in large numbers, sent messages, gifts, and prayers. Your presence turned these moments into cherished memories.
May Allah bless every soul that contributed in any way, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us a blessed union rooted in love, peace, barakah, mutual respect, and lasting harmony.
Egi Nupe remains deeply grateful.

For my first five years in corporate America I had no promotion.
Then in my next five, I had three.
Same me. Same company. Different results.

My former bike man is now my new landlord 😔
After weeks of searching, an agent took me to a newly completed building two days ago.
One-bedroom flat ₦800,000 rent, plus ₦200,000 agent fee.
While we were talking, a man walked in. It turned out to be my former bike man.
The agent introduced him as the landlord.
Omorh, I shock...
Then I found out the actual rent was ₦600,000, not ₦800,000 as the agent claimed.
My bike man looked at me and said:
"Pay ₦500,000. You be my person."
Omorh, na the same man I used to dash something back then o.
Life can change fast.

Let's accept this new reality. After Tinubu leaves office, Yorubas will have some respite as a northerner takes over. The burden becomes theirs. And so it goes. Hot potato.
I took this vehicle's picture because of the Hausa inscription on it. The one at the top is "A gama lafiya" which basically means safe travels. The one I'm really interested in is the second one that reads "Hassada mugun ciwo" which means envy is a terrible disease. In the second picture is a screenshot from our regular ambassadors of envy, replying to a post from US Mission in Nigeria that's Celebrating Tunde's Guinness World Record feat.
Envious people are sick people. They know no joy or bliss. They're haunted by the progress of others. Indeed, envy is a terrible disease.
Help me judge this matter.
A friend and client visited me in the office and when he was living, he handed me some cash to give the front-desk officer. Mind you, the front-desk officer was on leave, but a lady-lawyer was sitting on her desk, though not as front-desk.
Who should get the cash?
The lady-lawyer?
The front-desk (upon return from leave)?
The reason we know dinosaurs existed, and were wiped out by an asteroid, is that no matter where you dig in the world, you’ll find a distinct layer of clay. All dinosaur fossils are found below this layer, and never above it! This layer has iridium that is very rare on earth but found in asteroids.
It is called K-T (Short for Cretaceous-Tertiary) boundary
