@lovelovepara Beans, oats, potatoes, corn, rice, pasta, lentils, onions, carrots, and tomatoes are the cheapest and most available foods in the world.

@john_wilddog I understand where you're coming from, but imagine how people would be acting if we were in a world where every menu had beagle chili and golden retriever burgers.
Would we hold the people who opposed those foods to a higher standard of behavior than the people causing the harm?
@chalk_petals@mechanicalhime I don't want to be judged or questioned about my golden retriever chili, but apparently 99.9% of people are strict vegans who won't leave me alone about it.
@NOSlLVERLlNINGS@venusandback@HotFryLover2007 I live without exploiting animals, so I can show others by example how they can do the same so we can collectively abolish that industry.
What are your actions that the rest of the planet can feasibly emulate that will result in the abolishment of slave labor in produce?
@NOSlLVERLlNINGS@venusandback@HotFryLover2007 People can only make persuasive arguments if they're taking action. You need to provide a solution that can reasonably be applied globally to abolish slave labor, and you need to be practicing that solution yourself. You can't advocate for something you aren't doing.
@Di6Moder@tofuafficionado@sieunistaken Find a newer study that refutes it then.
It's strange to care more about hypothetical future animal deaths instead of the actual ones happening by the billions right now. Regardless, we'd keep a reasonable amount of the remaining animals in sanctuaries like vegans already do.
@Di6Moder@tofuafficionado@sieunistaken It's weird how me and every vegan I know just takes a regular multivitamin, and it gets discussed like we're undergoing extreme supplementation regiments.
A global fully plant-based diet could happen right now, because it would use 75% less farmland: https://t.co/3OXwyQe3Rg
@smooth_operatin@tofuafficionado@sieunistaken I don't use racial or misogynist slurs, but that doesn't stop racism and sexism from being real. However, I live in a way where my actions and ideals align regardless of if my actions can fix everything. Shouldn't everyone?
@Di6Moder@tofuafficionado@sieunistaken Seems logical that if one actually cares about harm, they'd avoid the harm of slaughtering animals altogether considering humans can easily thrive on plant-based diets.
@Fryzn1@tofuafficionado@sieunistaken If you know the way for all of us to exist in the modern world without crop harvesting deaths, then lead us by example.
Otherwise, you have a moral obligation to live in the way which reasonably mitigates that suffering the most, which they just showed you is a plant-based diet.
@wearepoppinoff@Konkyyy272@tofuafficionado@sieunistaken They're so annoying, get them!! I ethically source my dog meat and milk for golden retriever stew and pitbull alfredo pasta, but these vegans still bother me about it all the time.
@cece6767676@venusandback You're just repeating an assumption and stereotype to insult others and deflect from your own responsibility to minimize harm.
Every single major health and nutrition organization supports a plant-based diet for a normal healthy lifestyle.
@NOSlLVERLlNINGS@venusandback@HotFryLover2007 Injustice is everywhere, but vegans have shown through their actions that it's possible to live without animal exploitation, so they speak out about how others must do the same.
If you know the way to live without somehow exploiting slave labor, lead us by example.
@luckiichxrm@Vid793406957916@himejogal You're assuming that there's a competition between humans and other animals instead of the ideal being total liberation for all from exploitation, injustice, and oppression.
@yippie_kai_fae@geekeeii@NatanielSi29887@TheRockettMann I can see you mean well, but you're describing homophobia. I think you're reflexively not wanting that label attached to this mindset for understandable reasons, but it's very literally the actions and results of homophobia.
