8 Billion Kenyan Shillings for 800Metres of Road. Right inside KPA, Mombasa. While the city’s roads are impassable full of potholes. Unbelievable statistics. Beyond shocking level of corruption.

The road is 30 times the average world record ($2Million Per Km) for road constructions. And it is not even one kilometre long.

Let’s sit with these figures for a moment. Let’s think through where we are headed. Mombasa will not sink as we watch. We will Expose and We will act decisively, unapologetically and fearlessly.

It’s quite unbefitting for a Governor to control private entities for his own political whims. It has been brought to my attention that the Governor of Mombasa, @A_S_Nassir has been busy threatening a private company to pull down my IEBC adverts that were encouraging voter registration in Mombasa. Surely, Mr.Governor, how can an IEBC message rattle you to this extent? You better start getting used to seeing me in all corners of Mombasa because what’s coming is INEVITABLE!

Day 11: Ramadhan Food Distribution Program

@MoAliFoundation was pleased to visit Al Hanan orphanage & Island Muslim girls orphanage in Nyali Constituency today as part of our Ramadhan Food Program. The two institutions are a game-changer in the lives of orphans in Mombasa and the noble work they do for the children is beyond breathtaking. Due to the support of our wonderful donors and well wishers including @PembeFlour , We are glad to have shared food packages and contributed to the joy of these homes today. Our team also visited Mwenza area in mtongwe ward , bububu area ,shika adabu ward, Likoni Constituency and equally shared food items with the communities around.

I condemn today’s military escalation in the Middle East. The use of force by the United States & Israel against Iran, and the subsequent retaliation by Iran across the region, undermine international peace & security.

All Member States must respect their obligations under international law, including the Charter of the @UN. The Charter clearly prohibits “the threat of the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.”

I call for an immediate cessation of hostilities & de-escalation. Failing to do so risks a wider regional conflict with grave consequences for civilians & regional stability. I strongly encourage all parties to return immediately to the negotiating table.

I reiterate that there is no viable alternative to the peaceful settlement of international disputes, in full accordance with international law, including the UN Charter. The Charter provides the foundation for the maintenance of international peace and security.
