By the end of Jonathan's era, about 27 States of the Federation were stretching their palms to the Federal Government for bailout, unable to meet their own salary obligations - TWENTY-SEVEN, Sir, not two, not seven, but twenty-seven states bowing at the feet of Abuja like beggars at the palace.

And they include:

Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto and Zamfara.

Were they all APC states? Ask yourself, Sir, before your tongue runs faster than your memory.

As Buhari's government neared its end in 2022, only 8 States remained in that valley of shame, still owing civil servants and still leaning on federal rescue:

Abia, Benue, Taraba, Kogi, Cross-River, Zamfara, Plateau, Niger...

Osun State, impressively, was not among the insolvent - and that, Sir, after the Oyetola-led government had already cleared the mountain of salary arrears left behind by those before it.

Fast forward to the Asiwaju-led government: there is no single State in this federation today owing its workers salaries. Not one. Not a whisper of it.

Does that mean every governor of this era has suddenly acquired mastery in financial prudence overnight, or that they simply love their people more than their predecessors did?

No Sir!

Even the more intellectually fortunate among your colleagues - men like Prof. Soludo - have had the humility to admit that this newfound solvency owes less to individual governors' brilliance and far more to Asiwaju's revolutionary reforms.

When the river is flowing, even the laziest fisherman catches fish; it is folly to call himself a master angler.

So Dear Governor, do not reap where you haven't sowed. We all submit to your superiority in dancing and comedy, stay comfortably in your core area of competence, and leave the weighty matters of governance to leaders with the cerebral capacity for it.

Difference. 25k+ votes

Why will Adeleke lose the 2026 election woefully?

1. Adeleke’s political bigwigs have left for the APC

4. Nepotism and Ede agenda

5. He’s no more popular, no public sympathy like 2022
