If someone owes you money, stop saying, “If you don’t want to pay, no problem,” or writing long emotional messages trying to make them feel guilty.

They won’t suddenly grow a conscience because of your speech. They won't pay back.

Tell them plainly: "You cannot eat my money. I will do whatever possible to get my money". This is you speaking fear into them.
