Because I’ve:
- Written reminders on windows and mirrors
- Made wallpaper out of sticky notes
- Given my bags, their own bags
You see, with ADHD…
If you don’t see it, it might as well not exist.
Ideas. Appointments. Even dinner.
They’re forgotten—
Completely.
So you do whatever you need to do...
However chaotic or messy!
Not to be quirky.
To function.

Lucky are the one's who have managed to settle in some or the other work activity which aligns with their working patterns #adhdlife Rest all are in thier quest trying to fit in one or the other activity & wondering whats the purpose of their existence 🤷♂️
Apart frm freelancing (in any filed) there r vry few career options 4 a neurodivergent person- Work which offers flexibility to be performed in their favorable time period whr they feel charged up & cn do 8 hours of work in 2hours. #hyperfocus#adhdlife

Takes a lot of efforts 2 explain this - but no1 really cares 😕 & they start assuming tht I'm just givng excuses - that i ws intentionally late or lying. Even the Docs can't feel wht we're going through - its vry easy fr thm 2 say u need 2 plan & that v can't be so lazy #adhdlife
“If you cared, you'd be on time.”
But with ADHD, it’s not about caring.
It’s about a brain that:
- Underestimates time
- Spirals into “just one more thing”
- Forgets to leave until it’s too late
You care,
Deeply.
So much it hurts.
But your brain works differently.
What helps?
- Planning backwards
- Practicing self-kindness
- Giving yourself fake deadlines
- Getting ready to a playlist (each task timed to a track)
- Surrounding yourself with people who value you, not your punctuality
Forgetting office keys at home is quite a normal thing 🤷♂️ Thank god - my office is nearby my house 😅 so i quickly go back & collect them. #adhdlife
“Pills don't teach skills" is so true for ADHD. HOWEVER!
ADHD medications can reduce some of the barriers that make learning harder.
Removing these barriers don’t teach skills directly, but they can make it easier to turn our effort and intention INTO learning
And when im at a social event, its like im the most happy person on earth, making evry1 laugh & pleasing them 🤷♂️ with an invisible mask.
Can say #AHDH guyss are world's best actors and all of them deserve an Oscar atleast once in their life time #masking#adhdlife
Always the 1st one in close family circle who's on speed dial in times of crises 🤷♂️, but a simple thing like hair cutting or giving the bike for servicing gets delayed for weeks :) #adhdlife
New hobbies can trigger the reward center of the brain, which involves dopamine. Once the reward centers are no longer active, and the dopamine wears off, it’s not uncommon for an ADHDer to get bored and find another hobby. BTW: Want to see my new pickle-ball racquets?! -Dr. Jen
Sometimes i feel like a failure if I'm not able to follow a routine & sometimes i do more than i do in a fixed routine - thats #adhdlife have finally settled with quality or work rather than the time of doing that work
The ADHD tendency to need routine but then get painfully bored with routine and need excitement but then get overwhelmed and overstimulated and need routine. -Dr. Jen
