@tobyasky This isn’t it. Amad has been injured, leaving only mbuemo as the only solid choice to play right wing. Now Amad is back so you have him on the right and Mbuemo up top
@nigimmigration@NIUKCommunity Had my family down for their passports in Aberdeen. With the exception of delays due to network issues, the process was smooth and the staff were amazing. Kudos to the guy who came down ever hour to give us updates on the ongoing issues.
Anambra Debt: I Stand by My Statement, Peter Obi Left $155m in Three Banks — Otti
In a piece I wrote over six years ago titled "Prudence Over Profligacy," I demonstrated, using the balance Peter Obi left in Anambra, that it is still possible to be prudent in government. As CEO of the bank at that time, I advised Peter Obi to leave the money in dollars, not naira. The Soludo administration’s allegations do not invalidate what I wrote nor the credit he left behind. If otherwise, the Anambra State Government should publish the debts.
Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State
You can't be trying to convince grown adults on Twitter who have lived through the trials and tribulations of Firelord Asiwaju to vote for PO.
Do something better with your time. Go and watch paint dry in your neighbour's house.
Seyi is a better candidate than.... I agree.
Darth Vader and PO are almost.. I agree
Aki and Paw Paw are better than P... Agree.
If we give Seyi Tinubu's son some years to graduate, he can contest... I agree.
Agree with everything.
This is not 2023; anyone still asleep is pretending to be asleep.
@Sai_Ishaya_ Remember bumping into the cardiology reg who held the bleep. From how he talked, I genuinely felt he regretted going into medicine in the first place.
@nigimmigration Hello, I applied for my children’s passport. Paid since the 3rd of September, but it’s been waiting for approval since that time. I am trying to get this done in time for when the intervention team comes to my city, so I don’t miss out
I'm radical about Bruno Fernandes.
If you're a ManUtd fan who holds the view that the team would be better without him, I consider you an idiot.
Because that is an immensely foolish view that's unsupported by common sense.
This conversation is one that would probably never end, but I think what can help is to approach each conversations with openness and mutual trust and respect, rather than with ego.
And that applies to BOTH SIDES.
First, doctors in Nigeria must understand that it is okay to speak to NoK. In many instances, you even initiate it yourself. My plan almost always include "update next of kin". Ideally, part of patient-centred care is working WITH the patient and family, rather than working FOR them. The discussion could also involve them questioning or even disagreeing with your plan. That is okay, too. You should also feel free to explain the rationale to them and be open to considering their suggestions. Dont always assume they are there to attack you. At least, dont start with that in mind.
That said, we cannot deny the fact that people speak condescendingly to doctors in Nigeria. Acting this is not the case is hypocritical. That may not be your own intention, but many others do it. Medicine asides, many Nigerians abroad think they are better than those back home. We have heard on instances where those who have never been to med school have demeaned doctors in Nigeria, asking about investigations they dont even know why anyone does. Many human beings will resist this. Even for doctors abroad, if a patient's NoK speak to you in a threatening or condescending manner (and some do), you mostly likely would be making a report. You have a right to feel safe at work.
Doctors abroad should also understand the limitations that may exist. Nigeria is a system that is particularly overworked. If a doc has 60 more patients to see, they probably wont be speaking with any NoK immediately (home or abroad) except it is an emergency or any acute setting. Especially when the NoK is a medic which means the conversation could be prolonged. Even abroad, there are many times you have to say "I will have to call them back". That is only fair to other patients.
Overall,
1. Discussing with NoK is a vital part of care.
2. Dont assume the person on the end is egoistic. Many are! Many are not! Start conversations with an open mind.
3. Dont assume the person on the other end is condescending. Many are! Many are not! Start by being open.
4. Understand the doctor may not be able to speak to you at that time. If the call is not coming quickly, schedule and time or send an email.
5. Treat one another with utmost respect.

@Agent_Holmes@emma_zoey_reyn Padding myself, for you. Do I know you. I said what I said because it is true. If you think I am padding myself because of you, you are more stupid than I thought
@Agent_Holmes@emma_zoey_reyn A woman walks into the hospital for an X-ray of the arm. If she says she is pregnant I will do the X-ray without consulting anyone. We have guidelines we follow. And those guidelines agree with me
@Agent_Holmes@emma_zoey_reyn It is a time wasting effort for me as well, I deal with your type everyday, only difference is that they are willing to learn.
@Agent_Holmes@emma_zoey_reyn This is the same with CT scans and the cardiac catheterisation laboratory which is my specialty . This whole debate started because the initial person I replied to said there was a risk to the foetus from an X-ray to the arm, and I disagree with that.
@Agent_Holmes@emma_zoey_reyn I have said severely when replying to others on this topic that a lumber spine, abdomen, pelvis X-ray will require me to ask for pregnancy status in women of child bearing age because the doses are high.
