School leadership was never meant to sit on one set of shoulders. It’s too big for that. The real work happens when there’s a strong, aligned team carrying the mission together.
@CateSask@PierrePoilievre THANK YOU for saying this! I was hoping someone would point out this asinine statement that “our youth” can’t afford homes. Not sure what 15 yo is looking to buy a home rn. #justwannagame#outoftouchPierre
@Gmaricecakes@steve_boots is to keep students safe, so this is going to happen when we as staff can focus on what we do best—teach and take care of our students.
@Gmaricecakes@steve_boots during an emergency, because this creates an unnecessary level of chaos with parents/guardians. School leaders need to handle the situation as quickly as possible and to the best of the ability without parental interruptions. Our #1 goal /2
@steve_boots One of the NUMEROUS ridiculous pieces about this new announcement is that almost every school division in the province already has a policy developed for cell phone use in schools! Not sure if JC and SM are aware, but we’ve had cells for a while! 🤦🏾♀️
@jchase42 Lots of teachers, like myself, collect student cellphones at the beginning of class. They “park” them in a cell lot (shoe holder, box, or other unique system a teacher has set up), & are safe behind the teacher’s desk. We have other devices for them to use if needed. Few issues.
@steve_boots This is gold, Steve! Wab wins, hands down! I know there’s a movie about white men not being able to jump, but you may be onto something else here…🤣
