I don’t live in the US but a friend who live there just told me about a new version of the American Dream:
- A used Toyota Corolla
- No credit card debt
- A Costco membership
- Being able to pay rent without roommates
Is this real?
Apart from all of the obvious reasons why birthrates are low (human health, genders/sex), we really need to look into how many years its taking couples to even afford a baby, and how many couples are just deciding not to have one due to finances being a major factor. I think this is really where Universal High Income can help.
I have been a part of this bloodbath that actually started in the US from the startup sector couple of years ago and its been hard to land a decent job ever since. Found myself on an entrepreneurial journey once again, and haven't regretted a day of it.
PS Universal High Income is coming, you know it.
@MarioNawfal It is the only country that has strong ties with all conflicting powers. Strategic Autonomy and Multi-Alignment, India is playing that game like a pro.
@elonmusk There is literally no other way. The new way of earning is investing and one's with or without jobs need money to invest, small or large, throughout the year. That is the future we need to accept asap.
