5. Create a reward system for your to-do list throughout the day.
After a number of tasks, write down what your reward will be during your break. I do 2-3 tasks & then reward myself with 10-20 mins of reading, walking, social media, etc.
Set a reminder to get back to work!
With ADHD, it’s easy to forget about or move on quickly from things we do or have done well.
We are good at a lot of things & do them with hyper focus, which means it’s done all at once & we move on.
Before seeking the next thing, remind yourself to celebrate your successes.
Hey, you! Stop scrolling 🛑✋🏼
Drink some water, friend. Get back to what you were going to do before you got stuck in this doom scroll.
Have a good day ☀️
Reminder:
You’re probably doing a lot better than you think. Show yourself compassion the way you would a friend. You are your most important friend. ☀️
ADHD is starting work, getting thirsty, going to grab a mug out of the clean dishwasher, to then find you’ve finished cleaning the kitchen & starting on the office space next, to realize you forgot you started work in the first place. Now to start with work again, & I’m hungry.
Set timers that work for you. I set a timer for a break every 1 hour and 11 minutes. Then I set a timer for my break time. If I’m just relaxing I do 15-30 minutes. If I am doing another task for my personal life I will give myself 30-45 minutes. You decide what works for you.

13. Enjoy the relationship! A partner with ADHD may have struggles but also great strengths, which include spontaneity, a sense of freedom, sense when something’s wrong, etc. Struggling in relationship doesn’t mean it’s not right. Everyone has struggles, theirs just has a name.
