Yesterday Srinagar city was almost completely submerged in water after just half an hour of heavy downpour.The drainage system failed miserably, revealing the true condition of our so called “Smart City” for the first time.
I urge the Hon’ble High Court to take suo moto cognizance and constitute an inquiry commission to thoroughly probe the Smart City project in Jammu & Kashmir, where hundreds of crores of taxpayers money has been invested.
The project must be reviewed and rectified in all aspects, and strictest legal action should be taken against all those found responsible for this failure. The people of Srinagar deserve proper infrastructure and real accountability.

A disturbing report is pouring in from Zewan Panthachowk that a non native attempted to molest a native girl . Apparently the accused was intoxicated which has resulted in this despicable incident . I press upon the law enforcement agencies not to suppress any objective facts around this case. Moreover , this incident again showcases why a blanket ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol is the need of the hour .
