It's time for @instagram to update its username policy. Currently, when an account is deleted or banned, the username is locked forever.
If @TikTok can safely recycle inactive handles after 30 days, why can’t Meta? New creators deserve access to vacant names. Fix this! @mosseri

Why does Instagram still force all-lowercase usernames? 🤔
Modern keyboards auto-capitalize the first letter anyway. Allowing just the 1st letter to be capital (like@Adil instead of@adil) would look so much more professional and grammatically correct!
