Uttar Pradesh: The Railways have issued a notice to vacate the mosque located outside Prayagraj Junction, citing the station’s redevelopment work, while the mosque side claims that it is a waqf-registered and years-old religious site.

In protest against this notice, advocates, in a memorandum submitted to the Additional District Magistrate, stated that this mosque dates back to the British era and that regular five-time prayers have been offered here for years. The mosque was formally registered with the Waqf Board in 1950 under serial number 161.
