IMPORTANT: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh (Dera Sacha Sauda chief) granted parole once again, this time for 30 days. It’s the 16th time he has been out on parole since his conviction in August 2017.
He is serving a 20-year sentence for rape. Meanwhile likes of Umar Khaled have stayed in jail for almost 6 years without even a trial commencing. Yeh hai JUSTICE system: Wonder what our Lordships would pontificate on next! 🙏
This is wild.
143 million people thought they were catching Pokémon. They were actually building one of the largest real-world visual datasets in AI history.
Niantic just disclosed that photos and AR scans collected through Pokémon Go have produced a dataset of over 30 billion real-world images. The company is now using that data to power visual navigation AI for delivery robots.
Players didn't just walk around with their phones. They scanned landmarks, storefronts, parks, and sidewalks from every angle, at every time of day, in lighting and weather conditions that staged photography would never capture. They documented the physical world at a scale no mapping company with a fleet of vehicles could have replicated on the same timeline or budget.
Niantic collected this systematically, data point by data point, across eight years, while users thought the only thing at stake was catching a rare Charizard.
The most valuable AI training datasets in the world aren't being assembled in data centers. They're being built by people who have no idea they're building them.
Ordered on Swiggy.
The delivery person came in time.
He was a very poor man, around 45 years of age, tired and depressed by the looks. I was shocked to see his condition (never saw someone so 'poor' deliver an order).
Gave him a good cash tip, Diwali sweets and a cold drink. Wished him well. He was very surprised and gently said 'thank you'.
It's sad how much pain and destitution there is all around us, every moment.
Do whatever little you can, to as many as you can, whenever you can.
@PTI_News There should be clear statutory limits on how much taxpayer money can be spent on 'advertising', and transparent rules on its allocation across channels and mediums. Else public funds will be used as a tool to buy partisan influence by the state/central govt of the day
@rachitseth@abhic4ever Small connection, my grandfather commanded the counter insurgency operations in Mizoram back then. It's easy to forget but this was the first of its kind insurgency at that scale & intensity
just to confirm i'm understanding the FTX collapse: over a million people put $1 billion in assets into a crypto company, founded in the bahamas, by a 28 year old. am I understanding this right.
Unbelievable story from India today. A group of farmers and unemployed youngsters have been busted for running a fake Indian Premier League, and conning Russian punters into betting on it.
