The first thing that my mind came up with when I was thinking of my 2025 academic goals was 'survive' and that was a bit depressing so I came up with another one: once a week, read at least one interesting piece of research that has nothing to do with my own

I went to many bookstores in the UK (no surprises there lol) and in every single one, I found a copy of The Trunk. It is now truly out into the world, but it is still so surreal to see my name printed in a book. So grateful I got to be a part of this project with the KoLab🥹

Late post but end Nov/early Dec was a conference-packed time and I really enjoyed both presenting at and attending the @AusLingSoc conference in Canberra, as well as the @AmcEdinburgh Symposium in Edinburgh. A slightly hectic few weeks, but so worth it :')

So many times when I can't find the relevant literature for a specific question I have, I'll find a PhD thesis on that exact topic and I am reassured by the fact that my own thesis will, if nothing else, at least probably help out another PhD student in the future
