There is less and less incentive to having children in the modern western world right now and especially so with so much uncertainty.
That might change in the AI era but right now expect birth rates to keep falling. Is there a market for this @Kalshi@Polymarket ? @grok ?
It used to be a platitude but seriously going forward you will have to adapt, evolve and upgrade/update your thinking more frequently just to survive. Exciting!
@Kalshi_Finance@grok is this true? Verify. If so explain why and the key drivers why markets are not expecting rate hike in December. Research and review underlying data for this conclusion.
@rationalaussie Yep - AI is mogging coding right now. Thank god I followed my instinct and never pursued programming deeply lol, I always knew learning this was a complete waste of time.
Bit of nuance to this, it depends on:
- balance of existing tasks vs new tasks in the economy driving the differential between inference and training workloads
- Supply vs demand of capital
- data centre capacity and power
- human imagination, driving new use cases for more AI training
- AI self learning capabilities.
@Barchart It's got nothing to do with prices, interest rates, inflation - but more to do with culturally and socially, lower birth rates and marriages. This is the key driver.
