@Cockroachisback During Anna Hazare movement in 2011, both at Jantar Mantar & Ramlila maidan had many detentions. Anna was also sent to Tihar Jail. BJP joined the movement and AAP party was formed. But this sort of pick & choose illegal detention never happened. Mass outrage changed the regime.

@LiveLawIndia Why the Central park was closed? Why people had to come on the street? If the democracy & constitutional rights exist, the traders' right will also exist. A protest for right to hoisting the Tricolour is a protest to saving the democracy & constitution which is being threatened.

@dhruv_rathee A Govt possesses power & machinery but youths possess power to question & demand accountability. Democracy survives when citizens refuse to surrender their constitutional rights.
This reminds us JP Movement of 1970s.Students & others mobilised against corruptions & Govt policies.

This sort of brutality can be compared with the Nazi regime of Germany. Nazi rule lasted for 12 yrs when Adolf Hitler controlled the country, transforming it into a totalitarian dictatorship.

@abhijeet_dipke When the power forgets the people & constitution, youths must remind it. When institutions specially SC fail to protect democracy and the power of the Tricolour, citizens must demand accountability. When democracy is threatened, the answer must be more protest and not cowardness.
