The official AWS Community Builders welcome kit is finally here!
It’s been an amazing start already, and I’m looking forward to learning, sharing, building, and connecting with some incredibly talented people in the cloud community.

Some architectures we discussed were directly inspired by the brilliant layouts from the book 'Serverless Development on AWS' by @sheenbrisals and @level_out. Such a great resource! 📒
We covered the core primitives of serverless computing, specifically AWS Lambda and API Gateway, and wrapped things up with a live hands-on session where we built and deployed a serverless application on AWS.
Excited to be speaking at AWS Student Builder Group IGDTUW on Serverless Applications with AWS Lambda. We will look at how Lambda works, when serverless is the right call, and how it fits into real event-driven systems.

Just finished watching Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber
A gripping portrayal of ambition, leadership, and the messy reality behind scaling a startup at hyperspeed.
recommended for anyone interested in tech, leadership, or startup culture.

OpenTelemetry 𝗵𝘁𝘁𝗽𝘅 Tracing Not Working with Direct 𝗔𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 Import
I've encountered an issue with OpenTelemetry instrumentation in the 𝗵𝘁𝘁𝗽𝘅 library that affects tracing and context propagation.
@opentelemetry
It seems that when AsyncClient is imported directly, #OpenTelemetry instrumentation for the whole httpx module is not triggered...might be because otel's instrumentation works by patching the httpx module, and when importing just AsyncClient, it might bypass this patching process
Check out my project where I instrumented FastAPI with OpenTelemetry, visualized traces in Grafana, and stored them using Tempo for deep insights and performance improvement.
github: https://t.co/s5k45Wvpv0
blog: https://t.co/e46CGJtHUU
Key highlights:
▪︎ A step-by-step guide for instrumenting FastAPI microservices with OpenTelemetry
▪︎ Deployed FastAPI services, along with Grafana and Tempo, on Kubernetes
▪︎ Includes instrumentation of requests, HTTPx, and Kafka libraries for more comprehensive tracing.
Project core:
A notification system that triggers on 𝘀𝟯:𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱:* events. This system monitors an S3 bucket for new file uploads, triggers a Lambda function to process the files, sends a notification using SNS, and stores metadata in an SQS queue.
I just completed a project where I built an S3 event notification system three times, each using a different Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool—AWS SAM, AWS CDK, and Terraform.
Thanks to @gitconnected for publishing my blog.

Key-features:
❏ I focused on Automating the packaging of Lambda dependencies across these methods to streamline deployment and improve efficiency.
❏ Github Actions workflow for CDK deployment
