People hit a ‘winter’ around 27. Not exactly 27– some at 24, some at 29- but a winter is due around the 27 mark that ushers a complete transition from boy to man.

Something tragic occurs. Upends your life. Completely changes your world view. You are forced to reflect and rebuild.

The symbols of meaning and maps of your life are (perennially) insufficient. The (possibly) first time you realise this is the ‘Winter of 27’.

Everything changes. And youre born anew.
