BIG REVELATION ๐จ
Ujjwal Nikam says "Sanjay Dutt was not a terrorist, but if he had informed the police after receiving the weapons, the 1993 Bombay blasts could have been prevented and countless lives might have been saved."๐๐
I worked in Punjab as a journalist during the peak of militancy. Later in my career, I headed the Punjab Cell in the CBI, which had, in its past, investigated cases of fake encounters as well as the assassination of Sardar Beant Singh.
Those experiences gave me a rare opportunity to see both sides of that tragic period. They taught me that any honest account of those years must acknowledge both sides of the story.
And that is exactly my concern with Satluj: not what it shows, but what it leaves out. It tells only half the truth; the other half is left unsaid, deliberately, and with a purpose.
The film decontextualizes Jaswant Singh Khalra and the human rights debate from the Pakistan-backed, brutal Khalistani insurgency. This omission is neither an innocent creative choice nor an inadvertent one. And, in my view, the intent behind such a selective portrayal should matter to every Indian.
Case is sub-judice, one side is given platform to influence process of law without even version of other side.
Slow claps for this pathbreaking journalism.
Where @CelinaJaitly opens up about the violence in her marriage, the cruelty she endured and why sheโs fighting for everything she once had.
Wasnโt prepared for the candour in this @NDTV conversation.
Wishing Celina happier times.
It seems #UddhavThakrey will soon learn the final lesson of ditching pre -poll alliance partner BJP and forming govt with ideological opponents in #Maharashtra .
A lawyer appeared in SC without band to fill in for his senior/colleague!
SC: Dont be so casual about it. Appearance wont be given!
_____
Poor lawyer. Ofc, this was avoidable but can totally understand this. How many lawyers carry bands everywhere! (He was at home)
The big Bengal rebellion
Many expected an Eknath Shinde-style playbook. Instead, the rebels chose to merge with a little-known outfit.
Why does Shikha Mukerjee (Senior Journalist) & @adixit_adv think this strategy was adopted, and could it help the rebel MPs?
Watch the video to know their insights.

@sagarikaghose:
Sagarika Ghose, please spare us the sanctimonious sermon.
You slithered into public life on a silver platter handed to you by Mamata Banerjee when she nominated you to the Rajya Sabha. Your entire so-called โcareerโ in politics is nothing but a pathetic handout, courtesy of one single phone call from Mamata Di. You are personally,
embarrassingly obliged to her. Your public life? It exists solely because of her benevolence. You have done absolutely nothing for Bengal. You have never lived a single day in Bengal. For all we know, your โentryโ was exactly that, a cosy little phone call from Didi.
So get the hell off that high moral horse youโre prancing on, you nominated nobody.
Those who have actually contested elections, those who have sweated it out door-to-door, faced the voters, and won their seats the hard way, know the real public mood of Bengal far better than a Rajya Sabha parachute ever will. That mood is the boiling anger built up over years of Mamataโs anarchic, family-run mafia rule and her darling bhaipoโs antics. Bengal is exhausted, disgusted, and finished with their toxic communal politics and shameless minority appeasement.
If these leaders are finally aligning themselves with the thunderous public verdict delivered in the last election, they are not โtraitorsโ. They are doing what real politicians do: listening to the people who elected them. Their standing in public life was earned in the trenches, not gifted through a phone call nominating them to the Rajya Sabha like some entitled freeloader.
You, meanwhile, sit pretty on your unelected perch, lecturing everyone about โloyaltyโ and โconvictionsโ while you yourself are the walking definition of purchased loyalty. The hypocrisy is not just breathtaking , it is downright disgusting.
SHAME on you.
@SauravDassss has single handedly destroyed what ever little was there of #CJP
The first disaster was the Press Conference and today this entitled behaviour.
Itโs one thing to write fancy stories in the name of journalism and another to actually make difference in democracy.
CJP Spokesperson Saurav Dass has kept a Servant only to Fan him continously.
These Lutyen Elites can't stay 10 mins in Sun, is sitting under a tree and enjoying cold coffee.
I know it was going to happen.
One of the advocate had taken a 3years practice certificate from the judge for his son, as it is required for appearing in judiciary exams.
And His son has not even been seen for a single day in court.
Good decision by the Supreme Court ๐ซก
Perhaps, no research needed. The proposals to elevation to SC are undisputedly cleared faster compared to HC.
There are multiple reasons, as illustration- No IB clearance, income tax related formalities are to be undertaken in cases of elevation of HC Judges as SC Judges.
Someone should actually do a research to analyse no. of days taken by govt to approve recommendations of collegium for SC/HC judges. And why such a grave disparity exists in case of HC judges/CJs.
Senior who argued landmark cases when this guy was not even born. I am glad Collegium had foresight to reject this disgraced counsel, who surely have embarrassed the bench.
This two bit lawyer who got rejected for elevation as Judge. The only virtue for which he got designated was boot licking one former SCJudge from Delhi and he had zero practice before @IJaising used her proximity to make him ASC.
No wonder he doesnโt have decency to address 1/2
Tony your dad used to ask 10 questions a day on front page of the Statesman to the then PM. We loved it though there was no proof whatsoever forthcoming. You are such a pathetic disappointment for Ram. He must be turning in his grave.

14th May, 2014. I, along with other journalists were standing outside the CM residence in Gandhinagar. It was 2 days prior to the 2014 General Elections. We saw the cavalcade of Gadkari, Jaitly and Rajnath Singh enter the highly secured area. We were obviously not allowed to go anywhere near the gates.
As we all waited patiently, in Amdavadi heat (May is the worst month to be in Amdavad, because it is always heat wave and VERY VERY hot), everyone around were discussing what the results would be.
Someone said that maybe they've come to tell Modi to 'compromise' and 'adjust', should there be less than full majority (sampoorn bahumat). That 'if Sharad Pawar joins coalition, maybe adjust a little', someone else said.
I was still new to understanding politics so I just stayed quiet.
Then they sent a picture from inside the meeting. This one. And I saw @narendramodi's body language. The man meant business.
He knew there will be a poorn bahumat sarkar for him. He was not ready to 'adjust'. He knew that at that point, he alone holds the future of 130 crore Indians.
It is 12 years since he first took oath as Prime Minister of India and I will never forget this iconic picture.
The one where Modi sat defiantly. Because he knew. He knew that India is winning.
A heated courtroom exchange took place in the Supreme Court on May 18, 2026, between advocate Kumud Lata Das and BCI Chairman, Senior Advocate Manan Kumar Mishra. Adv. Das argued that the BCI should not be part of the adjudicatory committee since the petition itself alleged that the BCIโs decision to adopt a โsingle composite ballot paperโ had contributed to the controversy. However, BCI Chairman, Senior Advocate Manna Kumar Mishra said, โyou must stop levelling allegations against BCI every time. This is very bad. Leave this habit.โ
To this, Adv Kumud Lata Das said, โYou canโt shout at me! I am not under your disciplinary authority! I am an AOR; I know well how to submit to the Court. Youโre virtually a permanent Chairman, so you think the bar is identified with you, No.โ
The CJI eventually diffused the situation, observing that there appeared to be only a โcommunication gapโ between the parties, and they are both there to assist the court and represent their clients.

"This will entail very serious consequences."
Delhi High Court pulls up The Wire's Siddharth Varadarajan for "suppressing" an Allahabad HC order which restrained him from leaving the country without permission. The Court was today hearing Varadarajan's plea to travel abroad.
HC issues notice to Varadarajan and seeks an explanation on affidavit.
Delhi HC also recalls its earlier order by which it quashed the Central government order denying him an OCI card.
@svaradarajan
No-one has any right to interfere in anyone's personal life, but Vijay must understand that now being a CM, he's no more just a public figure but a role model for many & therefore must be very careful about his image.
When ur own son-daughter don't attend peak moment of ur life but Still someone outside marriage being given more weightage than ur wife who stood with u for 25 years....is definitely bad optic.
Vijay is new to politics but must learn these things fast. Women voters are very sensitive & are capable of changing election outcome with slight swing in their votes. I'm sure Vijay will learn fast. Images built on basis of Cinema are very fragile as compared to those leaders who have come from grassroots.
