Working to rapidly decarbonize economy through electrification @rewiringamerica. Board member @Arcadia, @Airbel, @ETC_energy & @ConservationLF. Founder @opower
@jjacobs22 Go back to your roots. . .American Roots in Maine. Union. Mostly refugees and asylum seekers. All domestic cotton, thread, zips (on sweatshirts). I can intro you. Better than shipping across globe. And you’ll wear them for a decade plus https://t.co/rl4PXA6VzM
@GreenEngineer42@rewiringamerica@leahstokes And, of course, they ought to insulate and otherwise weatherize every building along the way. But this can’t be a two step process. We need to electrify now.
@GreenEngineer42@rewiringamerica@leahstokes Those million contractors and the millions more who work for them are the very people who are going to build solid middle class lives for their families installing and servicing heat pumps in every zip code in the country.
@GreenEngineer42@rewiringamerica@leahstokes Simple reality is that we cannot decarbonize unless we also electrify and we cannot electrify fast enough. Also, as for the $$, there are more than 1M home improvement contractors in the US. 85% of them do less than $1M per year in revenue.
Electrification won’t stop the current conflict, but it will ensure it doesn’t happen again. We need to electrify for peace and planet.

Electrification for peace and planet. Read @billmckibben's excellent piece on how President Biden could invoke the Defense Production Act to pivot to pumps!
With words from our @rewiringamerica CEO Ari Matusiak. #PumpsforPeace

Terrific inspirational leadership and can-do, jobs-first posture from our dynamic incoming secretary of energy, @JenGranholm Great question, too @MartinHeinrich!
In today’s Senate confirmation hearing for the incoming Sec. of Energy, we were thrilled to see Gov. @JenGranholm and Sen. @MartinHeinrich discussing how electrification can boost the economy and fight #climatechange. We look forward to working together to #ElectrifyEverything
Listen up Vermontians – Our stats show that households will save up to $3,603 per year in your state when you #ElectrifyEverything. You're already called the Green Mountain State, so why not save some green by going green?
The average household in Georgia spends $4,590 per year on fossil fuels (electricity, space heat, water heat and fuel for cars and trucks). EVs, electric heat and rooftop solar would cut those bills in half. #GoVoteGA#GoDawgs#GoElectric
ATTN Georgians – our stats show that households will save up to $2,749 per year in your state when we #electrifyeverything, boosting the economy when we need it most.
@drvolts I've subscribed. Looking forward to continuing to read your terrific coverage of an economy and a planet transforming. The work of @rewiringamerica needs positive energy and lots of smart and hard working minds. Thrilled you're doing this!!
Have you tried to decarbonize and electrify your home? Know someone who has? Please share your story with @rewiringamerica Roughly 25K households in America have fully decarbonized their homes and cars. We need another 125M to do it, and soon.
Have you already started to #ElectrifyEverything?
Share your story with us by emailing [email protected]!
Tell us what inspired you to rewire, what worked (or didn't), and what you've done to electrify your lifestyle and home.
@energysmartohio @energybooknerd @rewiringamerica@janrosenow Nate, we are big fans of your work @rewiringamerica We would love to collaborate on story collection and story telling.
@FoxNews exit poll showed that 70% of voters support increased gov’t support for clean energy. And we know that 100% of voters hate wasting money. That’s why president-elect @JoeBiden should follow @AZurofsky’s advice and Go Big on electrification & clean energy. @rewiringamerica
Across the country people on both sides of the aisle are wondering if they won or lost. If we rapidly electrify and decarbonize we will all win. 25 Million impossible to outsource jobs, $2K per year in savings for average household and cleaner air for all of us. @rewiringamerica
@energybooknerd @jakeclevine Founded @rewiringamerica for exactly reason you identify. Another interesting precedent is Farm Loan Act of 1916 where backed by the federal government, farming cooperatives loaned money to fellow farmers to modernize their farms.
