Reducing The Last of Us Part II to “revenge is bad” completely misses the point. The story isn’t a moral lecture - it forces players to experience how grief, bias, and dehumanization fuel cycles of violence, and how easily people justify harm when they see themselves as the hero.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? is one of my dad’s favorite movies. I think as a dad, you’re actually legally required to love this film. This is like in every dad’s wheelhouse. I consider myself extremely lucky to have grown up in a household where this film was always watched.
