Considering this was one of Pakistan’s biggest award shows held abroad, it was disappointing that no major celeb or Hum Awards themselves used the platform to speak up for P@le$tin3🍉, except Nadia Jamil. One celeb even chose Halloween over humanity.

@chishirisu I was expecting Nayeol to save the baby when she was watching the game during evacuation but they just HAD TO MAKE Inho the hero by saving the baby. It would make more sense for her to hv the baby and it would add more to her character development rather than Junho getting the 👶
@Pixiedust941 Aur yeh validation kaise ho sakta hai…despite Burhan asking for leniancy, fl did not stop there and made sure he gets the punishment he deserves… Nashwa stood upright and made him talk abt Maheen’s case too. Showed no signs of her stepping back in getting what he deserves.
@Pixiedust941 Yaar ek dafa woh enemies the or uska cousin bhi hai, the one she despised. Hearing this frm someone like him will make a woman happy seeing the change in him as once he was against her becoming a lawyer too.
@abidishajia The same game he played with Nashwa for Bisma’s safety, he will play the same game with Burhan but hopefully Burhan approaches it well and turns the table. Story got me hooked.
@abidishajia I found that scene a bit frustrating too but I now realized it was likely included to highlight his concern for N’s safety. That moment served as a precursor to the more significant scene where he decides to take on A's case, motivated by his desire to protect Nashwa frm Bakhtiar

The writer and director showcased Nashwa’s background so explicitly—and for good reason. From day one, she had no power against Bakhtiyar. With her father gone, both he and Barkat had a free pass to dictate her life. Did she ever fight or force him to let her start that internship? No. He only allowed it because he saw his personal benefit in it—he was initially completely against it.
That marriage with Amaar was always going to happen. But knowing what her mother had been through—and why she is the way she is—Nashwa used that opportunity to get Bisma out. It was her way of repaying Bisma for what she had to sacrifice. And once Nashwa realised what her mother had been through following Bisma’s first breakdown, it took a toll on her. She knew nothing would ever change for her mother unless someone stepped in and pulled her out.
Now, she’s trapped in this marriage because Bakhtiyar threatened her. He used the very reason she once stood up to him against her, completely cornering her. So now, tangled in this mess, her only priority is to keep her mother far away from it all. That explains the problematic things she said to console her—and what she did with the rehab was a desperate attempt to make her own future at least somewhat liveable.
She knows Amaar is a lost cause (in her own words, “a gone case”)—she literally says it in his room before the rehab scene. That move was for herself, not for Amaar. Yes, it’s problematic, but at the end of the day, she’s just trying to find a way to stop herself from drowning. And honestly, that’s what any human being would do.
Our morality does shift depending on the situation—because we’re wired to save ourselves, to comfort ourselves, even if we’re living in hell. The real problem would’ve been if the show had framed it as the solution—but it didn’t. That conversation between Burhan and Nashwa in the car in today’s episode was crucial. It reminded her—and us—that this move, even if it’s for yourself, is pointless.
I appreciated that the writer gave us Nashwa’s POV again following Burhan’s words. Nashwa agrees, but to her, she’s trying to prevent future Bismas and Nashwas from emerging. Again—yes, it’s problamatic that she’s downplaying a r@pist once again ….but many of us I’m sure have heard people around us say similar things at some point. The writer isn’t endorsing it; she’s highlighting the layers of typical, deep-rooted thinking…and why I say that because following a problematic dialogue there’s an event/ dialogues countering it.
And now, with Asad’s murder, Bakhtiyar has finally been pushed to the weak end. This had to happen—for the family to finally grasp the gravity of Amaar’s criminal behaviour and understand that he’s beyond any redemption. It’s a brutal but much-needed wake-up call, especially for those in the family who still have a shred of conscience and morality left.
People need to accept that this turning point was necessary—for Nashwa to finally abandon her instinct to contain the damage all on her own. At this stage, it’s no longer about Bisma’s safety and happiness…something that she has reduced her existence to.
I really hope that in the upcoming court case track focused on Asad, Maheen’s case is highlighted. It’s crucial—not just as a reminder to the Barkat Villa family, but to the audience—that the voices of the powerless MUST be heard not silenced. I have another expectation but will keep it to myself and see what the upcoming track showcases.
