I finally got to see the #janewaystatue in Bloomington, Indiana! Also had the pleasure of seeing @TheKateMulgrew herself see it in person for the first time. Wonderful day, if a bit windy! #startrek See more on my Instagram
Watching the @WhoCulture retro review and I had a thought/realization due to @ELittlechild. I always felt like Clara pretended to be the Doctor out of cockiness and self-assuredness whereas Rose did it to try and give herself confidence or hide her own fear.
bigotry was truly inspiring. This is what Trek is about. Diversity, Love, Honesty, and so many other things. I can't wait to hear @idomknow and @ConnorTrinneer discuss this episode on The D-Con Chamber!
Doing yet another rewatch of the @StarTrek universe. Decided to do timeline order instead of production for the first time and currently on season 2 of Enterprise. I'm completely gutted having just watched "Stigma." The HIV parallels are so heavy that it's amazing this episode
gives Archer a beautiful speech about the importance of diversity. This was back in 2003 and here we are today needing to be reminded of the same thing he had to chastise the Vulcans for. And the way T'Pol took a stance and jeopardized her career for a minority and to face the
Finally started listening to @thedconchamber and I absolutely love it! The chemistry between @ConnorTrinneer & @idomknow is electric and they have such talent in interviewing their guest. I wish I had started listening before. Keep up the great work, guys!!!
@SamuelCockings Love that you call those out! Lol
I'm from the USA and rereading my thread, I do come off pretty arrogant. I am sorry for being a jerk and I really do love your videos and lives. They are like comfort food for me. Truly, thank you for all you do to brighten up the Trek world.
Commander Cockings a 🧵
As much as I LOVE @trekyards , it's really getting tough to listen to Cockings (CC) be so condescending to Stuart and the Trek staff every episode. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, he often acts as if his word is gospel and he's so much more
@SamuelCockings I love you both, I truly do! You have such a detailed eye that leads me to rewatch scenes and episodes. I just think it's your tone/attitude. Even my husband (who only really watched Trek and Trekyards because of me) has commented about the angry British guy before.
Trekyards is by far my favorite channel on YouTube and I constantly hope I get to run into the Captain and Commander at a Con someday. I just want @SamuelCockings to show a bit more kindness to the crew that works so hard on these shows.
I just wish he were a bit kinder and more respectful to those that make these shows. They are under MASSIVE constraints and answer to many many bosses. His fan films (I've seen a few and have enjoyed them all) don't have those expectations. I feel like he forgets that.
@gaghyogi49 As a lifelong Hoosier that grew up approximately 30 miles outside of Bloomington, I can attest that there are definitely places that look like that, but they would be on the very edge of Monroe County.
And with that, I bid a solemn goodnight to #StarTrekDiscovery
You had a rough start, but honestly ended up telling very deep trek stories and found a place in my heart. I cried tonight over you like I have many other shows. Thank you for starting the second golden age of Trek.
