Former CHL and USports player Jacob Winterton has passed away at the age of 25 after a battle with cancer, the OHL announces. Winterton played for both the Flint Firebirds and Oshawa Generals before joining the University of Guelph Gryphons.
He is the brother of Seattle Kraken forward Ryan Winterton.
