This season was something special.
Memories were made at KeyBank Center and beyond that felt a little like magic, and brought our community together in old and new ways. Buffalo proved itself the hockey town it’s always been.
And now, the wagon rolls on.
This thing of ours is forever, Buffalo. And a new era of Sabres hockey is just beginning.💙💛
Ruff: "It hurts, I told the team it hurts. That pain will go away. But I won't let this one game define the season we had. I told them how proud of was of them." #Sabres
@CMDeDominicis Exactly the lines I wanted them to run. Love it. They haven't run 89-71-91 since the early part of the season but it's their best line by xG% on the season, of lines with any meaningful time.
No matter what happens tonight, the past six months have been an absolutely incredible ride. Broke the drought, won a round, added a banner, potentially secured some individual hardware.
Biggest of all, city-wide passion is back. I would die for this team.
Sabs in 7.
@hockeystatcards@AustinEgri After digging more my initial response was actually wrong. 26, 72, 19, 12, and 23 get crushed hard for Evans' goal, the one that slides through UPL. That getting through is good for a .52 xGA for all five of those guys, especially rough for 12 who just started a shift it seems.
@maxwell_carl@hockeystatcards Dahlin is just more hit and miss. He's had two excellent games, one fine one, one bad one (tonight) and one really bad one. Tage and Tuch have had five pretty horrible ones.
@AustinEgri@hockeystatcards I do think having some kind of flurry control makes sense. Rebounds are tricky and inexact and there should be something to take a bit of that chaos out of it.
@hockeystatcards@AustinEgri I'm doing some deep dives on both sites for some Dahlin cope (he's my fav player) and it's funny how drastically different these two sites are.
@kevin_siracuse@Chris__Storms There is a lot more to want out of him but he is actually doing a lot of positive things out there, some subtle some not. It's way more than 72 and 89 have going on and 26 has also been a victim of being on the ice with the other two clowns.
@kevin_siracuse@Chris__Storms Well in games one, three and four they got absolutely caved in at 5v5 when he was off the ice. He was bad in game two but everyone was.
@kevin_siracuse@Chris__Storms Stupid penalties are genuinely just part of who he is. He's done it all year and the last several. You live with it because he's a game changing player and for several of the games of this series, he's shown up. Shouldn't be grouped into the other two who have totally sold.
