A California HOA is threatening homeowners in San Marcos with $100 fines for flying the American flag outside their homes ahead of America’s 250th birthday, the CA Post reports.

Amy and Chris Cooke say they’ve flown Old Glory for 20 years to honor Chris’ grandfather, Alexander Christie, who died serving in World War II.

Their neighbor, Terri Collins, has flown her flag for 35 years.

Now the Ambiance Owners’ Association reportedly says the flag represents a “political or affiliative view” that could “degrade” the common area.

Seriously?

The American flag is not a political statement.

It is the flag of the United States of America.

I hope you see what the Democrats are dealing with right now.

Over the past decade, moderate/establishment Democrats let their "crazies" fester. They refused to call it out or address it in any way...

They thought if they ignored them, or tolerated them, the radical fringe would continue to play nice and fall in line with what the Party demanded...

Now look at them. Socialists and actual Nazi supporters have taken over their party. It's too late to course correct. The time for that has long since passed.

This is why I have been so vocal about issues IN "OUR TENT" on "OUR SIDE" over the past few years.

We can't make the same mistake they made, and we, I believe, have stopped it from happening here because unlike the Left, we are NOT afraid to police "our own."

Democrats will not be able to fix their intra-party problems from within their own borders anymore.

Thankfully, many of us on the Republican/MAGA side recognized this threat and shut it down. We were able to address these issues internally.

The battle isn't over, but we have already taken more steps to conserve our party's sanity and moral compass than the Left did when their "crazies" started making noise.

This is why I hated the "stop the infighting" comments. It was never infighting. It was expelling people who never belonged in our movement in the first place.

Something the Democrats never did, and now they've lost their party to communists.
