Most business books are written after success. This one was written during uncertainty. That is the whole difference.

I didn’t write ROOTED to tell you how to succeed.
I wrote it for the person who has tried, failed, started again, questioned everything… and is somehow still building.
If that sounds like you, maybe this book found you at the right time.

@abodiatrash This is the hardest note to write to yourself. Building feels productive. Marketing feels exposed. But a product nobody knows about is just a well-kept secret.

Now the value for the owner makes much more sense. The piece I’d still challenge you on is the other side: what makes me visit the globe if I’m not buying a country? If you crack that reason to return, then owning a country becomes much more valuable too. That’s where I think the flywheel starts. 👀
@MartinJokub That’s the fun and painful part of building 😄 Sometimes the product is easier than finding the one sentence that makes people immediately get it. Keep testing. Curious to see where you take it.
@noumanbaignb I get the game mechanic. But let me challenge you one step further: once I own a country, what do I actually gain from owning it? And more importantly, why would people who don’t own a country keep coming back to the site? I think that’s where this could get really interesting.
Got it, that makes the positioning much clearer. So the real value isn’t “ready-made AI apps”, it’s turning someone’s proprietary skill/workflow into a simple app they can distribute while keeping everything behind it hidden. That’s actually a stronger angle. I’d make that message much more obvious on the homepage because I didn’t fully get it on my first visit.
Building for 30+ years taught me one thing:
Ideas are everywhere.
Execution is rare.
Consistency is even rarer.
Still building. Still experimenting. Still starting things that might fail.
That’s the job.

@itskamrankhan Hi Kamran! Sounds like we have a lot in common. Always interested in connecting with fellow builders, especially around AI. Let’s connect 🤝
Entrepreneur from Lebanon, based in Dubai 🇱🇧🇦🇪
Been building businesses and ideas for 30+ years. Still building.
AI strategist. Founder of NextMind Digital. Author of ROOTED.
Looking to connect with founders, builders, AI people, and anyone crazy enough to turn an idea into something real 🤝
Really like the concept, especially removing the prompt/AI complexity from the end user.
One thing I’d improve: show 3–4 very concrete use cases immediately, like “Turn a sales call into a CRM update” or “Upload a proposal and generate a client-ready summary.” It would make people understand the business value in seconds.
I’d also consider adding a marketplace/library of ready-made skills so companies can start with proven apps instead of building everything from scratch.
