Director Hong Jong-chan said, “It doesn’t feel real to me,” but added, “Still, I’m happy that viewers seem to have recognized the essence and sincerity of the work.”
Speaking about a potential second season, he said, “If it becomes even more successful, I’ll come back with Season 2.” He added, “There are still so many stories left to tell from the school setting.”

I see his words getting twisted a lot, so let's straighten it out a bit, ok?
Kihyun was not standing at a public festival complaining about their music not “not being streamed enough.” That’s not what he said at all.
What he actually said was that MONSTA X achieved high Billboard rankings in the US, but that those achievements are not widely known among the Korean general public (non-fans). Then he followed it with:
“That’s why I’m working this hard right now.” -> which in a festival context, reads more like:
“I’m here to represent MONSTA X as well as I can and make more people notice us.”
He was talking about wanting more people at the festival to recognize MONSTA X and give them attention/love domestically too. He was literally promoting MONSTA X to non-fans for 50 minutes straight.
