Thief: The Black Parade, an unofficial expansion campaign for Thief Gold, just came out after nearly a decade. I'm barely into the first level and already blown away by how much higher the production value is while keeping everything feeling authentically Thief.
playing Thief Gold, a 1998 game, for the first time in 2018 really made me fully understand in a way that i hadn't been able to articulate before that games haven't gotten objectively "better" over time at all, they've just got more stuff shoved into them.
Faces that look hyper-realistic in still shots animating with the stiffness and lip-sync motion of a PS2 game sure are jarring...
Really not seeing anything special about AW2 that would necessitate such high minimum requirements other than gluttonous shaders and texture sizes
But go ahead keep telling us how it's the best looking game ever made and that everybody should sell their souls and their shoes to upgrade from perfectly good graphics cards just for this game... pull the other one
My boxed copies of Guitar Hero 2 and 3 for Xbox 360 were not in the storage stuff at my parents 😭 along with a boxed X360 so, I wonder if someone nabbed them 😠💢
LuciusDXL is hard at work on implementing a modern editor for the Force Engine!
Custom Dark Forces missions will be so much easier to make when this is done.
oof PS5 is still so expensive and all the deals are pushing the digital-only version which I absolutely will not buy.
Honestly, 500+ quid for that... I legit think 900 quid for a 7900 XTX is the more appealing option
