Play UP Sky Blues. Going up 🙌🩵Relegated 25 years ago from the Premier League, Coventry City tumbled to League Two, were homeless, debt-riddled, had difficult owners, but the fans never lost the faith, even when all seemed lost for team and club, even when they were trekking to temporary homes at Sixfields and St Andrew’s. Their loyalty, belief and stoicism have been rewarded.
So congratulations to all at @Coventry_City on promotion back to the @premierleague. To the inspirational Frank Lampard, his tireless staff and excellent, very watchable team, to a good owner in Doug King and all the hard-working staff at the ground and training ground. And to those fans who always dreamed this day would come. nb: Premier League fixtures out June 19 - and soon changed, but all that matters is that Coventry City are back. #PUSB
@LloydsBank I’ve been through all of this with your service team and they can’t help. I have another account with @Barclays, so I think I will try to set one up there
@LloydsBank Your online system for opening an ISA account is not working.
I’ve tried to open an account for last 24 hours online and just spent an hour on phone trying to do it. Maybe it’s time for me to switch banks if you can’t do the basics anymore.
@LloydsBank I’ve banked with Lloyds since 1979 but it is clearly time to find another bank which is more efficient with online banking. This is pretty basic stuff, opening an account

Labour’s Emily Thornberry says Donald Trump’s claim European soldiers in Afghanistan avoided the frontlines was an “absolute insult”, and is “proud” the UK helped stand up to him over Greenland

Our Statement in response to President Trump's comments:
The service and sacrifice of British personnel in Afghanistan cannot be called into question, and we condemn any comments that undermine their extraordinary contribution.
Good to hear an upbeat story about Coventry after so many negative ones in recent years. Particularly pleased for my friends and colleagues @adrian_warner and @IanChadSport
Sometimes, you need to bring people up to date about #journalism and #universities. Two-year degrees will not help our young people. https://t.co/Yu7VdAYm78
2016: Nigel Farage, "The worst case scenario, economically, is better than where we are today"
2025: Nigel Farage, "This is broken Britain, nothing works"
The joys of breaking news dropping on the way to work so having to pull over to get it ready for the embargo time!!
Great signing for the Sky Blues 🤝 #PUSB
Happy Brexit referendum anniversary day. It weakened the economy. Reduced investment. Tanked the pound. Damaged the City. Increased red tape. Increased immigration. Decreased the rights of the young. Staffed billions wasted. But hey - Johnson has PM on his CV and his partner in crime Farage has replaced him as the darling of the right wing rags. So all worth it for the tiny minority who gained out of an act of national self harm
💬“Oh no. Electric guitar version of the national anthem. Hideously American antics.”
