As we are slowly operating on this sensitive question, our conversation takes us to the topic of Evangelical Mission Trips. Are we being effective? What can we do to ensure COMPASSION and not PITY leads our decisions? https://t.co/tKerF7wC28
Is charitable giving hurting or helping the intended beneficiaries…This episode will breed many questions, but stick with us through this series as we unpack some power packing truths…
Jasmine and Janae have traveled the majority of the United States and have lived in different countries as well. I asked my girls their perspective of defining American culture vs Central America's culture... "Culture through the Eyes of a Child" https://t.co/tKerF7wC28
As we are wrapping things up here, it was great to get some cultural experience for the kids. Although they have been busy with traveling and being in various churches, the opportunity to get 'hands on' cultural experience has been priceless! #burdenministries
Let us finish this discussion up with this FINAL episode on this heavy topic. This episode we share OUR TAKE, what are our thoughts on the theory we have defined and explained over the last few episodes! #BuckleUp https://t.co/CuPlpmfx6x
After a great time with the folks at Fuente de Luz en San Pedro Sula this Sunday. Our family is taking a short recess before we head back to Sigua for our last month here in Honduras 🇭🇳
And when it comes to chilling no one does it better than Janae! #burdenministries
Tony Evans is probably one of my personal favorite speakers, teachers, writers etc...and since so much CRT is the news, I love how he breaks down a new terminology that I hope is contagious. If you have not read Tony Evans, I encourage you to pick up any of his books for sure!
So grateful to communicate with some of the Pastors here in Honduras about their vision, goals, and their culture. These men in the picture have a heart for the Lord and it has been my honor to be welcomed in the generous way that I have! #burdenministries
We set aside CRT for a while and now we focus in on Notable Characters from Black History...Join us to learn more and understand the significant impact of these great heroes of the not so distant past. https://t.co/CuPlpmfx6x
So grateful for our sweet spirited oldest child…we are blessed that even though she has had her birthday in 3 different countries we have been blessed to always be near friends whether they are new or old. We are thankful for the language school having a party for her today!!
We are still unpacking this topic, and this episode we get into the nitty gritty...if you left Part 1 with more questions than answers than I believe Part 2 will help with that! Thanks for following and listening!
Many of our supporters know that our original plan was to be in Peru this year however when our plans changed at the last minute to travel to Honduras, our prayer was for the Lord to open doors...and that HE has!! Thanks for your prayers and support!!
Season #2 is here…and we are starting off with a BIG topic…so much to say, and we are planning to get it in in about 5 parts.
If you have read Fault Lines, we are reviewing the book in great detail during the episode….No spoilers but join us for this Big topic!
As a preacher, I am excited about the opportunities opening up here in Honduras, but as a dad, I am so grateful that the kids have the opportunity to not just practice Spanish in the playground, but a dedicated instructor...what a blessing!! #BurdenMinistries
