@kennyboyfox92 @conor_pope They are quite low now compared to the general numbers of 1000 per day, hit those same levels 2 months ago were significant. It’s sort of too late now (spilt milk), but post a level 5 then testing on arrival and quarantine until test results confirm negative would beneficial

@ger_colclough @conor_pope After we had the virus suppressed, if we had better controls at airports and ferry ports testing the “small” numbers coming in, then where else could a second wave come from. The initial outbreak has been traced to Italy. Facts checked.

@paumarks @conor_pope Yes, if a level 5 is imposed then it makes sense to demand better controls at ferry and airports to avoid importing it again. An all island approach like the foot and mouth controls would be best but politically difficult until recently. But now NI might be more open to it.

Restricting the incoming travellers movement is surely more pragmatic than locking everyone down. Tbh, this should have been done when the virus was suppressed.
